CINDIGO 1.0.9
for Indigo 1.0.9

download exporter:
PC Version
(or below)

Have a look at my Cindigo Blog! (about cindigo, and one or two other smaller plugins, which will come soon)

The file contains PC versions for R10 and R9. (R10 users will have to rename the "cindigo1.0.9.cdl_R10" to "cindigo1.0.9.cdl")
Make sure you have the newest version of quicktime installed!

Good beginner tutorials can be found here (german and english)

please tell me if you find bugs or have specific requests. i will try to fix/implement as fast as possible.

new in 1.0.9:

* New-ish material preview system (Now using drBouvierLeduc's material preview scene. thanks drBouvierLeduc!)
* Region Render - you find it in the camera tag
* maybe more. don't know what i did since the last version
* uses relative paths in the .igs where possible
* added german translation
* support for -o parameter (in the camera tag under "output")

fixed in 1.0.9:

* Preview scenes
* Igm export
* Some other small fixes
* bug when trying to preview blend mats with blend maps
* Blend material issues with blend maps
* small bug with previews
* non-standard materials don't cause crashes anymore

known bugs/issues 1.0.9:

* some :?

features to come in the future:

* Better .obj export (still needs optimization)
* Igm import

And here's how the new material preview system looks like:

It was a simple test, I was trying several kinds of materials, and it went well in all but Oren, indigo console would instantaneously close...it now works fine though.

Another thing is that I find the preview a bit heavy on calculations, and given it is a preview after all... I get around 165k for diffuse for example, when I have scenes with higher resolution and more 'complete' scenes that have bigger samples/s...

yes, its a bit slow. but i decided in favour of the looks(the old one was so ugly).

thats why i increased the save times of the preview, so you get sth like a progressive preview, when you klick on the tag again.

maybe drBouvierLeduc will have some time improve the scene in terms of speed, or ono implements a "fast(er), more biased render mode" especially for previews (ono, if you read this, would that be possible?).

Suggestion: Moving the 'Global Scale Multiplier' from 'Indigo Render Settings' to the 'Export to Indigo' requester, since Cinema uses the same scale whatever it's defined on its preferences on all given projects.
