I don't want to be annoyin Fused, but if you check Cinema4d style you'll see that there's no parallel to it regarding Camera attributes...

Just an idea... what about using relative Paths instead of absolute ones (ie: tex.jpg instead of C:\Path\to\tex.jpg) in the igs files?

you're not annoying, every comment an crit is appreciated ;)

but i dont exactly get get what you mean... do you mean i should not put it in the camera tag, because you dont specify the c4d output image in the c4d camera?

if yes, heres why ill put it in the camera tag under "output":

the reason for the camera tag was, that you can have multiple camera settings in the scene (as opposed to only one setting when the settings was in the render settings tag(object)). if id put it in the renderer settings object, it would collide with the rest of my concept:

you create two cameras, specify the output in the render settings object, render both and... dang! one gets overwritten by the other.

hope that makes sense to you.

The thing is fused, if one draw parallels with Cinema 4D you'll see that there's one project and then there's a timeline, different cameras can be used still you define the path where images are stored not on camera object but on render settings. IMO Indigo exporter is just another render settings but focused only (obviously) on Indigo settings.

Cindigo do great regarding allowing one to set a special resolution for each camera I'll give you that, something that even Cinema won't allow users to do because the user cannot key it, still what I think it is lacking is to take the timeline into consideration and do just like cinema does, it might even check (if possible) the Cinema path and use it accordingly.

In Cinema when user wants to use multiple cameras he would use the stage object and chose which camera to use in which given time, given that Cinema modus operandis should be used first and foremost, I think that what would be needed was the option to take time line into consideration.

path_given_by_cinema_render_settings/project_name

_001.igs
_002.igs
_003.igs

_CameraA.igs
_CameraB.igs
_CameraC.igs

this could be named after the frame it occur or if cameras have different names according to those.

And oh yeah... what about integrating WLAD's cam as default for the cam tag so we can see the DoF?

Release it ASAP please!
Atm i have to hand-remove the absolute paths in the XML for rendering on my other machine with other drive letters!
Optionally let the user select if he wants to have relative or absolute paths (in the export dialog or the like).

Thanks in advance,
PureSpider

@pixie:

still, im not convinced. using the standard render output path? and export all cameras everytime? (if i get you right) doesnt make much sense to me, the user should have the contol about it.

also, when i export and run, wich one gets started? all? and what happens, when i want to export an animation? (when animation support is ready).
