It seems you are using the latest stable Indigo version 0.9.10.
The Cindigo exporter is named by the version of Indigo it is compatible to,
tnx ZomB. that did it.

Optimizing the object seems to solve the problem...

kind of. this might be caused by unused points or degenerate polygons. try "optimize" on this model (with polygons, unused points and points).

edit: so you found it out by yourself :)

ZomB wrote:Bugs:

3) Primitives tagged with the light tag get exported using default_mat.

4) instancing of primitives doesn't work.

8 ) Oh... width & height are get exported visa versa ^^

Some Ideas:

c) it would be great, if Instances of complex multi structured objects like Chairs, or car tires with (lot of) childes could be supported.

d) Different Materials for Instances should be possible... Maybe here some kind of Random color checkbox for materials could be nice, maybe an interesting feature for scenes heavily using instances... maybe...

n) Cindigo & C4D both asks if the existing files should be overwritten, if exporting.

p) On the saving dialog, the file extension should be limited to .igs as default, and xml as a second file option.
Hey!

i had a little time lately and your request c) is ready for testing.

some comments on the rest:

3) where is the problem with that?

4) is working now.

8 ) which? can you pealse explain it a bit further?

d) i said it before... it would be a nice feature, but i dont think its worth the effort

n) has a reason and i wont change it. ever. (the reason is, that in some cases cinema doesnt ask you)

p) is currently impossible.

Wow, hierarchy instances export is a great feature!!! Great work fused!!!
I'd like to see rectangle light and the other indigo primitives (sphere, plane) implementation too

thank you.

to avoid misunderstandings:

hierarchy instances export is not a feature of the current exporter. it will be in the next version/update.

Hey fused, looks great this new instances export :D
For me the last main missed feature, now Cindigo is getting rock solid for me!

About your questions:

3) The problem is, that the Light Tag on Spheres are ignored... they don't emit any light, but get exported as simple diffuse material objects using the default_mat.

8 ) The width & height settings in the Camera Object are mixed up. if I set the picture to have a 100px width & 500px height, its exported to e height of 100px, and is 500px width
I'll update the list according to your response, and delete the requests that aren't possible etc.

And again: Thanks for your great work dude!

please upload the scene, or just the .obj element that gives you the error, so we can have a look at it..

Ciao!

For me on every scenario where this problems pops up, optimize with all 3 checkboxes checked and a tolerance of 0.00000001 worked fine...

Otherwise please upload your scene (snipped) so we can take a look just as Marco asked for...
