i think i found a solution to the 64 bit/vista problem. it seems that both versions dont have quicktime support, which might be the reason that the plugin is not working for you folks(since it is reading PNG files).

so i need to find a workaround. but maybe i already found one! 8)

Hey Fused, great News dude!

I somehow managed it to get Cindigo to run on Vista 64bit, but on 32bit C4D only.

After updating Vista with all available Hotfixes & Patches by using (the german!) Dr Vistas Update Pack 4.0 Cindigo displays now in C4D 32bit.
This Update Pack provides all released Vista Updates ~ 80, while you only get ~ 50 through the Vista integarted Update service!

I'm not 100% sure about this, but this was the only thing I did the last day after unsuccessfuly trying Cindigo to work on my system!

I checked it again, settings are @ YES status, I just deaktivated it and reaktivaed... maybe this saves it correctls now...

using your 1.0.2 testbuild you Pmed me, I can say yes works fine her, but:

for each material a preview gets displayed based on the last preview rendered!

sry, that i didnt post an update for so long.

i could'nt compile a workin 64-bit version of the plugin... so you'll have to try to get the 32-bit version running... :(

Yeah, I'm looking forward to any new release. Editing every scene by hand to put in the material names is somewhat annoying, especially when doing lots of testrendererings with about 50 names each.

And just a small question, 1000m = 1m in real life in my model, so I set global scale modifier to 0,001. But the result of it was that my mobile phone got see through, a shot of the back revealed the front of the device. At 0.01 there was no problem. Is my model just to small/filigee or did I get the global scale modifier wrong?

you set the global scale right. do you use a specular(or glossy?) material with SSS ?

if yes, this is normal, since cindigo has no gain(or exponent, or whatever) value for RGB. but i will hack it in now.

hi guys,
i think i found the reason why cinema doesnt load cindigo.
i just install the latest quicktime software, and cindigo was loadet and works well, with preview and all. works for xp and cindigo 1.0.1.

can someone other test it with vista?

CINDIGO 1.0 - BETA 1

download exporter:
PC Version

(or below)

The file contains PC versions for R10 and R9. (R10 users will have to rename the "cindigo1.0.1.cdl_R10" to "cindigo1.0.1.cdl")

Make sure you have the newest version of quicktime installed!

please tell me if you find bugs or have specific requests. i will try to fix/implement as fast as possible.

new in 1.0 - beta 1:

* camera tonemapping
* watermark
* better camera export
* material preview
* texture paths (buggy)
* some changes for blendmats
* support for IES profiles
* gain for scattering and absorption RGB (RGB values are multiplied by gain)

fixed-list 1.0 - beta 1:

* instance sacle / scale
* the other scale issue

known bugs/issues 1.0 - beta 1:

* only UVW-mapping supported (no tiling)

features to come in 1.0 - beta 2(or later): (for preventing double and tripple requests)

* better .obj export (still needs optimization)
* more changes for blendmats
- tell me if i forgot sth!

let me know if sth is not working :!: :!:
