Hmm... blend-material seems to be broke for me. I deleted the old blend-tags which were used with older cindigo. Then I created a new cinema material, then a Null-Objekt and then I gave the Null-Objekt a Material-Helper Tag. In the Helper Tag I selected Blend-Material and assigned two materials in the boxes. The Material is named "blend".
Then I assigned the material "blend" to 3 Objects in my scene. But when exporting the scene indigo crashes with the message "Object blabla tried to use material blend which is not defined".
Do I have to do it another way?
edit:
same with diffuse material. So I guess it's an issue of the new material tag? materials created with the old exporter are working fine!
But the way of reorganzing the GUI etc. is very cool!

uhm.... for me it works...
you have to create a material helper for the blended materials, too
edit: works with diffuse, too.
do you use R10?

-----------------------
CINDIGO 0.8 - BETA 2
download exporter:
PC Version
Mac Version
(or below)
The file contains PC versions for R10 and R9. (R10 users will have to rename the "cindigo0.8.2.cdl_R10" to "cindigo0.8.2.cdl")
edit: compiled a mac version today!
please tell me if you find bugs or have specific requests. i will try to fix/implement as fast as possible.
new in 0.8 - beta 2:
* render settings tag will ask you once to choose an indigo dir (will need that later, no use of that at the moment)
* blend mat is a regular mat type not an extra tag
* mainly GUI changes
* and lots of code reorganization
fixed-list 0.8 - beta 2:
* blend mat bugs
* exporting igs contents multiple times
* you can now use material names with dots (e.g. "mat.1")
known bugs/issues 0.8 - beta 2:
* only UVW-mapping supported
* normalization of Vertex Normals is disabled(doesnt work properly), indigo will do that for now
(and it takes very very long)
* there have been lots of changes to the material tag, it might not be compatible with materials created with older versions of cindigo
please post bugs
hope you like my changes
a good tutorial can be found
here (only german and italian, hope someone will translate it to english soon).

edit: attached Mac version (only R10)

lol, you may
but before you do that try to re-do you materials (there have been lots of changes to the material tag, it might not be compatible with materials created with older versions of cindigo)
edit: and i tested with the R10 demo, everything works fine for me.

Why bother about an exporter for MacOS anyway when there is no Indigo for the Mac-users available ?! I was kind of stumped when I was asked on the German forum why there is an exporter if there is no native MacOS-Indigo.
Very valid question :\

@micha: no, i dont think so. i work on a mac and have bootcamp installed, i also use parallels for preview renderings.
and there seem to be pretty many c4d users working on mac.
mac version: 16 dl's
pc version: 27 dl's
more than half of the Cindigo 0.8 beta 2 users are mac users
and.... pls spread the news to all other forums you know
(would do it myself but im lazy)
edit: oh ich seh grad, dass du das schon hast... danke

There is nobody that can explain with simply examples(like a tutorial) how to make some bases materials in Cindigo...like glass or plastic etc...
Pinko.
