Could you put a switch in the light tag so that one could choose between a diffuse/null material? I usually use it so I can better hide the shadows in some fill light I create in a scene. This way the object emitting light don't have it's own shadow casted.
I put it in the bugtracker.

One cannot generate IES previews
Error: Failed to create render output directory: Failed to create directory 'C:\Program Files\MAXON\CINEMA 4D R15\plugins\Indigo for Cinema 4D\preview\renders': Access is denied. (code 5)
Yeah IES previews need an overhaul tbh :) Put that in the bugtracker too

hi,

importing .pigm file in C4D R19 is not correct in some cases.

by example : from Online Material Database download "Matte Terracotta Octagon with Glazed Diamonds" (the first one)
save it in .pigm
try to link it using a material type external in C4D, the images are not present
try to import it using import function provided by the plug-in Indigo for C4D 4.2.22, the same, the images are missing
try to re-import this .pigm in Indigo standalone, all is fine.

in C4D, importing this material is partially correct in .igm file format, image in color is present but image in Roughness/Exponent is missing

I suppose, it's related to Roughness/Exponent when an image is in ths channel because I tried an other mat whithout image in the channel --> it's working correctly

Hi there and thanks a lot for the R20 update :-)

As always I want to bring to attention that in the C4D plugins there are certain things not working that I consider essential for me to be using this renderer on a daily basis. I do not want to offend anyone here. I just made it my mission to fight for those features ;-)

Please see the linked topic I took the time to write and explain why the certain features are so important for me:

Thanks for your time in advance!

Could we have a defined shortcut key for refreshing IPR? It could be used as a mid step solution until fully refresh is attained.

It seems like,
in specular material,
in internal medium,
in RGB value of absorption spectrum --> the color values are changing

EDIT : oups !
I just realized than 0 in C4D is equal to 1 in indigo
... but the result color is different

In R20 at least, one cannot make use of LOD. It would be cool for huge scenes, as it would be nice if one could have the size of the export baking size view dependent. That way we could have small texture for small objects far away taking no time and only those close taking a bit more time to bake.
