4.0.48 and stereo rendering? Some interesting surprises in here for sure. :)

C4D has built-in support for stereo rendering. Works fine, to some degree, with Indigo within C4D.

Thanks Fused for that Christmas present. I am again surprised by the speed of Indigo. Especially the GPU!
Great work there. Keep it up!

Cheers and happy holidays!

Bug/annoying behaviour:

EV/ISO changes etc restarts preview render. That shouldn't be necessary? :)

[ BUG ? ]

So when using Cindigo to render inside Cinema with two or more Light layers enabled.
Picture viewer joins together (all) the Ligh layers into one. When i go in and try to edit them inside Picture viewer/ Indigo menu.
Still has more layers present but they behave like one, produces the same effect as exporting to Indigo standalone 47.

Not sure if this is a bug or has more to do with 47 standalone still not supporting the layer system.
Anyways does not present a huge problem since IPR runs fast and recognizes Light layers.

In gpu the layers work as opposed to standalone which is a great easter egg! :D

Is support for c4d filters and procedurals/noises broken?
With R18 doesn't seem to work.
If anyone would care to check?

Or has anything drastically changed  ... been long since i last dipped fingers into cinema&indigo... IIRC r15 + indigo v3... back then everything was working fine (c4d noises, layers, fusion...)

C4D filters always has been only backed to texture, they never had some direct procedural transition into Indigo shaders.
Baking also only works with view independent shaders like noise, but stuff like C4Ds fresnel wont work (without proper uv mapping)...

The preview was working as a charm on R15 at least

Yes, just tested in R18 Demo. While its all good in R17, for R18 baking fails.
On export Indigo gives this material error:

Code: Select all

Failed to find texture 'C:\Users\zom_b\AppData\Roaming\Indigo for Cinema 4D\quickrender\shader-could-not-be-baked.png', used by material 'apple'.
