Indigo 2.2.8 for Mac

Post by benn » Mon Nov 23, 2009 1:25 pm

Sorry for the lateness of this build.

http://www.indigorenderer.com/download/beta

It's a 32-bit build as well, so is available for users with older core-duo processors. Let me know if you have any problems with it. We're setting up infrastructure so that we can automatically build for all platforms at once.

According to that link the 2.2.8 mac build is 34 bit. Interesting... ;)

So is it a 64/32 bit universal or is it just 32 bit?

Hey, I've got some suggestions about the gui...
mainly the light layers tab.
In my opinion, the existing solution is very uncomfortable when you are using many light layers in your scene. Plus, the colored borders around the XYZ values look nasty; although they are helpful.

Maybe something like this might work better:
indigo_gui_lightlayers_collapsed.jpg
indigo_gui_lightlayers_collapsed.jpg (12.85 KiB) Viewed 4440 times
indigo_gui_lightlayers_open.jpg
indigo_gui_lightlayers_open.jpg (17.83 KiB) Viewed 4440 times
This might help getting better use of panel space and keeping better overview over numerous light layers.

What do you think?

The idea is not from me,
someone posted it quite a while ago... but I did some screenshots what it might look like, so Nik could have it easier to get an idea how to solve what we want. :D
I'm not happy with the colored bullets, do someone have a better idea? Colored input fields don't look that good, too...

Indigo 2.2.8 for OS X can work again in net rendering as a slave with a PC (Windows) as master.
Many thanks Ono, Ben!

looks and space aside (though i agree with you on that part too)...
i don't like that you can change the main,&x,y,z values with the scroll wheel.. pretty much every time i use light layers, i'll try to scroll the window down but end up changing a value instead.. (and if i happen to already have that value adjusted, i gotta start over again)

collapsing would solve that.

I noticed another issue:
After rendering a certain time, I am not able to change values in all input fields manually... only by clicking the up-down-markers.
I don't know wether it happens only when you disattach the rendering options window (which is a great function!) or not. Can someone confirm that?
