New design

Post by benn » Fri Nov 20, 2009 4:50 pm

Hi guys,

We've pushed out the beginnings of a new site design. There may be some creaky bits around the place. Let me know if there's anything that desperately needs changing. We have some variations on the fonts that we'll be using too - so the current fonts may not end up being the final ones.

Ben

Very minimal. Like. Just noticing some awkwardness with the forum headers, seems a little (3x) tall and I can't make out the buttons on the right.

Is the font smaller? For me it's harder to read. I had to use the browser's zoom-in feature for the first time.

I like it although the fonts are a bit small, perhaps one could make the font bigger and add some extra space between the letters to extend readibility.

Btw I couldn't find where to log so I had to go to the forum>private messages so that I could log myself in

Clean and beautiful!

But I agree to Suvakas - the font is quite small. And the size of the font in the "code" tags is even smaller, almost unreadable.

Too much white space and no top banner make me sad :( I like the rest of it but the lack of these two really bug me

Much improved 'feel' over the previous design - however I think the font is perhaps just 1px too small. It makes the whole page feel too wide, and the forum posts are not so easy to read as before.

Also there's an issue with the 'font colour' palette on firefox PC

The fonts !

Sorry but I hate this one. Hard to read on a screen.

Furthermore, the pictures seem automatically resized, thus they are very aliased.
