I don't but, it does look odd being "half there" like it is right now, so either fix it or trash it but dont leave it the way it is

I like the above one better. The current hard edges and abundance of white space give it a very bland look imo. Plus, the 3 small squares.. Sure it's a neat looking pattern, but it doesn't really have much to do with "new post."

I had some free time on my hands so, I photoshopped the current website to turn it into my "dream website".

Hopefully it'll spark some ideas.

Some of the items need to be realigned but anyway, I'm impressed it didn't end up looking like total crap so, bite me :P

IMHO, there is just too much contrast.. It makes things feel too much like "islands." Between both the margins and the rest of the page and between the buttons and "middle background."

Ideally, the site UI would be animated based on mouse overs.. For example, you would move your mouse over "Forums" and the 4 options would slide down. And then when you moved your mouse away, it would fade away (albeit quickly) instead of just disappearing outright.

I can't get the focus on menus at all using IE7 32bits, they seem to stand behind the page texts. Plus, they look

Same display problem persists on forum pages as well.

a) IE6 No More!
b) IE6 on Mac = worse than IE6 on Win = worse than media flu!

I don't get a choice at work. IE6 or nothing.
