Indigo is going commercial; Indigo 2.0
Re: Indigo is going commercial; Indigo 2.0
I think we should change it yes. There has been a problem with the store. All placed orders are safe and secure, we have re-renabled purchasing. We will be contacting all purchasers to follow up on the sale. If you have any problems or questions - email me direct at ben@indigorenderer.com.
Re: Indigo is going commercial; Indigo 2.0
Hi ono,
There is a mistake in the ordering mail. When you order the full lifetime license, it says under upgrades: "An Indigo license entitles you to free upgrades of Indigo until version 3.0
is released. ". You better fix that :-)

Fixed - thanks plaurits.

Heya Carbon - the Indigo lifetime licence includes two free node licences - all licences are per computer - unlimited CPUs or cores, and can be migrated to newer hardware if you upgrade your computer - is that your question?carbon wrote:what about node license price please? some Glare spokesmen would have an answer? this is very important for me, on it depends what renderer i choose..
btw, Ono, i glad that you, have made the official announcement and i hope Indigo will outlast current situation.

Re: Indigo is going commercial; Indigo 2.0
yea, and additional node price? if i decide to buy Indigo, i'll need 3 or 4 node licenses..
Re: Indigo is going commercial; Indigo 2.0
Hi Ben. Sorry to bother again.
I've bought the lifetime indigo license, but in the redirection link I received via e-mail
I'm requested to input a hardware key to generate my license key, and I don't know what to do. Could you help me out, please?
Other question: I have two pc in which I'd like to have Indigo 2.0 installed, one is at work and one is at home. I know that the Indigo license include two nodes, so I guess that's all right. Is the hardware key somehow related to the pc in which indigo will be installed?
I'm sorry to be coming up to you with these silly questions, but i never bought a product via internet and I really don't know how to to that.
EDIT
I cannot access the Beta group either, so I cannot download even the trial version of Indigo 2.0...

Re: Indigo is going commercial; Indigo 2.0
Pilbuz, once youve downloaded 2.0 you can get your hardware key after clicking the 'licensing' button and going to the 'license key' tab.

Bug trying to use Commercial Indigo 2.0
Just installed and licensed the x64 bit version and get an error message box with the simple but meaningless message "Error:" when I try to render
Get this both if I try and render from blender using Blendigo 1.1.14 on Windows 7 RC2 or if I try and resume from a igi made in indigo x64 v1.1.18.
Am posting here because I can't post in Beta as I'm locked out of it.

I get that too when I use the latest SkIndigo. Rendering the test files that came with Indigo works fine, though.

You have to start the igs scene from within Indigo
PS- Windows 7 RC2, you'd wish!

Re: Indigo is going commercial; Indigo 2.0
Thank you Ben for the links!
And thanks a lot to you, Remus, for the explaination!
Just to clarify the workflow here:
If I want to install and license Indigo 2.0.x on two pc, i have to install Indigo 2.0 on one of them, get the hardware key, generate the license key in the online page (linked in the answer email) and activate the first license.
Then, I have to install Indigo 2.0.x on the second machine and license the software with the same license code.
Is that alright?
Thank you guys for your patience...

well it was torrented from some russian site and says build 7070 when it runs so...... :-)
I was just seeing if it was worth upgrading from XP64 and to be honest it's nice but will be going back to XP64 for now as that seems faster

Re: Indigo is going commercial; Indigo 2.0
That looks good! Great job!
One thing: Why isn't it possible to save the *.exr? Is it only possible when I declare it in the exporter preferences, or does exporter-preferences have any effect now on where and how to save rendered files?
And one suggestion:
Would it be possible to load and remove glare and obstacle maps in indigo on the fly while rendering?
I think this would be a really neat feature, and it would be a very logical place to implement it there.
Because it's a kind of postpro-feature like the ISO, tonemapping, lightlayers etc... I feel like it would belong to here, too.
Second suggestion:
I liked the sliders much more than the numerical input fields in the tonemapping-, white balance- and light layers-window. I think it might be more ergonomical to combine these kinds of input; at first a slider for these values, and behind it the numerical input field.
What do you think?
And one last question:
For how long will I be able to purchase Indigo for 295,- Euros? How long is this "grace period"?
And is it always lockes to one machine? What if I would use Indigo at home and on my machine at work, and what happens if I change my machine(s)?
Thank you in advance!
