Hi Rafaello,

Sorry - the beta group has been on old how for the past two weeks. I recieved your NDA and have invited you to the beta group. Anyone else who is pending - I'll go through my inbox and give you access to the beta group.

Again, apologies for my tardiness.

Ben

Hi Benn,

Also do I send my NDA, and until today I don't have answer, I have opportunity, of being of the Group?

Thanks to respond.

..sorry to make such a naive question but, every time I see updates in this post I always ask me why an open source software ever needs a restricted group of testers. Why not to make a topic with open updates, so that everyone can download and test the new stuff himself?

I really can't understand the process... sorry...

Indigo isn't open source. It's free like a beer (and that's already great!), but not more.

Besides, every release should be more stable (pre-tested) and thus the overall user experience should result ehanced; the beta group allows Ono to be more responsive while not crawling the forums with test releases.

I think it's raising the development efficacity, my two cents ;)

the question is not about a test-part at ALL but rather about a closed one with kept secrets and co....

And then Kram ?

SATtva just reminded us that Indigo has always had a secret part, this is why it is not open-source. The extent of that secret was never precised (and right, it's movable), all previous debates I can remember were about the free-ness of Indigo, not the fact that OnoSendaï is the only person knowing the code.

Don't we all know that ?

--- I found out about a possible OS X version today so I came here to find more info. This thread is useless to an outsider and I suspect the same thing for an insider. ---

Good luck with the Mac version. Hopefully I'll remember to check back in a few months to see if there's a public release yet.

I also sent in the NDA today! I'm very anxious to test this on OS X and help create a great Mac version of this renderer!! I'm an architect that uses Sketchup and a combination of Cheetah3d / Kerkythea (did I say that out loud?). I have a Intel PowerMac Quadcore and Octocore at the office and an Intel iMac at home.

Peter

Hi.

I sent my NDA a few weeks ago, Paolo Ciccone, please let me know if you didn't receive it and I'll send it again. Very interested in indigo for Blender on Mac OS.

Thanks.
