I can confirm SATtva's error, JPEG files that worked before no longer will load. I'm also on the 64-bit version of Linux. I did try and load and save the files with Gimp but it didn't help. My usual image viewers and Gimp will load the files just fine. This is running Indigo v1.1.16.

I have no idea when this might have become an issue or if it is usually like this -
used my old P2.66 as a master(UImode) and new duo @3.8ghz as slave(console mode)
at predetermined samples the master recognises the halt and says its quitting but doesnt- it just keeps saying that :?
I would have thought it would quit the slave as well but..
here is a screenie of the ongoing quit cycle
Thanks for bug report, fixed.

SATtva_ wrote:Here's another problem. Starting 1.1.16 on the scene (exported with Blendigo 1.1.14) I get this obscure error message:
Warning: failed to decode texture '../textures/metal/scratches_bump.jpg'.
Error: IndigoDriverExcep: SceneLoaderExcep: Failed to load texture '../textures/metal/scratches_bump.jpg' (In element 'texture', around line 75, column 13): ImFormatExcep: Error while reading JPEG file: Bogus message code %d
However 1.1.15 on the same scene with the same texture file works flawlessly (well, except for black triangles). I've attached texture file below.
Thanks for bug report, fixed for next release.

Welcome
Ono, Could You make next release for libtiff3 (libtiff.so.3)? My OS is openSUSE 11.1 64bit. I have only libtiff.so.3 and I can't upgrade to libtiff.so.4
Greetings

have you tried:

1) Maybe a symlink will still work it out?
or

2) Downloading, compiling it a installing it in another place like /opt and create symlinks to /usr/local with stout?

Unfortunately, this is one of the disadvantages of having so many different flavors of linux using different repositories. Different distributions update repositories with newer versions of libraries at different times.

Keeping Indigo up-to-date with the latest versions of libraries is important, so I wouldn't expect subsequent releases to work with old libraries. In your case, the best thing to do is download the newest version of libtiff, compile from source, and add the new libraries to your library path.

For some reason I can't download the Windows 32bit version. All other DL ok, but Win32 only generates a 1kb file.

Anyone got an alternative URL that I can download from?
