Did I understand correctly? Indigo has ... multilight? *cries with joy* How's ram usage, by the way? Ran some comparative Indigo/ Maxwell tests, and I found Indigo uses quite a lot more ram than Maxwell.

Thanks, btw!

:)

Now this is fantastic news! I hope Smarty can fix us a quick Blendigo 1.1.6 beta soon so we tech-idiots can start playing with this.

CONGRATS!

And one question, if the old-style glare is gone, how do we get the effect back - is it now interactive?

A wonderful release Master Ono... it kicks Indigo to the next Level :D

Actually you missed to tell us about the new Light flux normalisation (testscene luminous_flux_test.igs).

"In this test we have two emitters of different size, but emitting the same luminous flux (and same power).
One emitter has 100 times the surface area of the other emitter.
So despite their difference in size, they should illuminate the ground plane nearly equally."

Here also a quick list of the new testscenes if somebody is interested about new file format etc.

- albedo_shader_test.igs
- bump_displacement_test.igs
- emitting_material_test.igs
- layer_blending_test.igs
- luminance_test.igs
- luminous_flux_test.igs

Yes, multilight, altho I don't call it multilight, because that term is trademarked by Next limit. So call it Layer blending (which is a somewhat better name anyway)

as for RAM usage: If you have N layers, then the image buffer will require N times as much RAM.

you could use the term multi light then which is in public domain since the dawn of times... ;)

stop and pause dont seem to work here and the Indigo icon is missing from the .exe?

I would appreciate if the bottom left panel was narrowed up to just after the layer7 so you can see the render progress commentary without pulling the window right out to a widescreen format

Vegetable Navaratan Korma
Lamb Madras
Vegetable Platter for two
Keema Naan
Plain Naan
????

EDIT: very cool so far regards 'realtime' adjustments

EDIT2: your emitting_material_test example has a wrong texture name or is missing from the folder.

EDIT3: no.2 edit also applies to flux and luminescence .igs as well
Hi Big Fan, thanks for the feedback.
I'm pretty sure stop and pause work. However, they apply only to the render threads. Watch the CPU usage in task monitor after you pause or stop.

You're right about the panel width, I'll narrow it.

Vegetable Navaratan Korma: highly recommended.

Old diffraction VS new diffraction? Anyone?

EDIT: OK, I see it in the pannel now. Sorry.

First bug: 1.1.6 doesn't like the .float format for environment maps. Means we cannot render the mat test file...

Call it what you like - I'm happy! Thought this would never happen. I meant, btw, that Indigo's ram usage is generally higher than Maxwell's.

Gotta go play now.
