Re: The RANCH renderfarm now supports Indigo!
Ok, here it is:
From April 13 (next monday) to April 30 (included), we have a very special offer for all Indigo users:
all Indigo projects will get a 75% discount!
It means that if you render for one hour, you will pay for only 15 minutes! (if you render for 20 mn, you pay for 5, you get the idea ). If you are not familiar with the RANCH performance, a 15 minutes render is the same as 30 hours of rendering on a Core 2 Quad @ 4 x 3 GHz.
Now, another important thing: _if_ this offer has a serious impact on the number of Indigo projects we get to render (note the _if_), we _may_ reconduct this offer in May.
So, it's really up to you all now!

FRAMANIP PRO 64-bit is now FREE!
Hi everyone,
I am pleased to announce that the RANCH renderfarm image sequence player FRAMANIP PRO is now FREE! It works with XP and Vista and exists in 64-bit and 32-bit version. Sorry there is no version for the Mac, as the program uses many specifities of Windows/PC hardware, and porting it to the Mac would require too much work.
FRAMANIP PRO lets you plays JPG, BMP, TIF, TGA or PNG sequence with incredible speed, entirely from RAM. I recommend you use the 64-bit version if you can, as you will be able to use all the RAM in your system to fit longer and/or high definition sequences. FRAMANIP PRO is very easy to use and has many useful options that I let you discover on the FRAMANIP info & download page.
- No registration is needed
- There is no spyware whatsoever
- And no installation procedure: one .exe does it all!
I only ask that you do not directly give the application to your friends / colleagues but point them to the FRAMANIP PRO download page on the RANCH site.
I hope that this gift will be useful to every 3D animator, enjoy!

Hey Fred, nice Stuff... I love the 1 EXE & no installation approach!
Poorly I get a error about the "network MAC address of this computer cannot be detected"
I think my COMODO Internet Security don't like your app anyway, for the 32bit version ther is a message about some "Heur.Pck.MPRESS" virus... I'm sure there is no, but anti V. software is sometimes very sensible...
I'm on Vista Ultimate 64bit...

I surfed around on Ranch site and noticed, that this scene from Evermotion DVD is copyrighted to Artur Staschyk. Is this legal?

@ZomB
the mac address problem was left from old code, I have removed it. You can redownload the .zip and it should work now. The false virus alert appears on some overzealous detectors is done because of the exe compression code. I have removed the compression code so you should not see the alert anymore (but the .exe will be bigger).
@suvakas
it is best to ask Arthur. If there is a problem and he sends us an image with an appropriate copyright we can easily change it.

Can it be that Evermotion is selling what they can't sell? After all if I'm buying Evermotion object I'm expecting to be able to use them in my renders...suvakas wrote:I surfed around on Ranch site and noticed, that this scene from Evermotion DVD is copyrighted to Artur Staschyk. Is this legal?
Re: The RANCH renderfarm now supports Indigo!
a little more complicated here pixie, since this is a whole Evermotion scene, that I rendered in Indigo... so actually only lightning is from me, so its better for everybody to remove my name and so nobody thinks I modeled the scene too ^^
I remember writing you about this my name on a Evermotion Scene issue Fred...
hey Fred, your application starts now, great!
If it is possible please add a "force alphabetic order" checkbox! the basic names of indigo output is a rising dumber of seconds from 1970 or so... by this you don't have frames that are sorted like xx_01, xx_02 etc. but they still have a working hierarchy
+++ EDIT +++
It seems the app doent like my first frame: "No Valid Frames have been found for this sequence"
openeing the second frame works nice, but I get the message about a bunch of frames... :/
But the forced alphabetic order seems to work... somehow

Hi, does the RANCH renderfarm supports indigo 2.0.x ?
If not, which Blendigo exporter version is currently the one to be used ?
Thanks in advance.
Best regards,
Philippe.

Hi Philippe (and everyone),
