Indigo 1.0.5
@ZomB:
Ono explained the "splat filters" in the post... I don't know if I completely understand it, but if you try a render, you'll see the noise looks different. As he said, it's how it "splats" the samples onto the image. (someone correct me if I'm wrong btw...)
This topic explains the "packed" scene files. What it does is zips the scene file, and any external resources (textures, etc.) into one file, so they're not external anymore. And yes, I think that'd be very useful for network rendering, as you'd only have one file.

Hey, I was just trying to test the render region stuff... and it's not working right (it could be user error, but I don't think so...) I started a simple cornell scene for a minute, then tried to render a small section of it.
It didn't render all of the section (left some space on the top and right sides), and it doesn't look right either. It's all blown out.

Ah yes, one thing about using a render region is that you can't use Reinhard tonemapping. This is because the result of Reinhard tonemapping depends on the average luminance of all the pixels, which will change if you just render a particular region.
So if you want to use render regions, use linear or camera tonemapping.

@Ono: D'oh, of course, thanks... I guess if I had thought through it better, I would have figured it out.
Might want to add that to the first post, just so other people don't slip up on that.
Now I just have to get a feel for linear and camera... haven't really used em yet...
