Indigo 0.9 test 8
Yes I did...Kram1032 wrote:uhm, did you look in the post, before this one, ZomB?
Only Using linear tonemapping could bright up such scenes...
(only older Violet versions can tonemap this igi's!)
Also the IGI is about 1/4 of the one without this issue (21.9MB vs. 5.49MB), what means there are less color information (!!?).
This Issue seems to be light or material thing, because this scene rendered fine before I added some materials and lights...
only rgb lights are used, and 2 rgb light texture emitters.... but I got this issue with another scene that uses only BlackBody for lightning!
Here the zipped igi file (25 min rendering!).

Hmm... you can see it in the "rendering" above the grey plane sorounded by lot of light bulbs.
The Problem is, that both meshes got the same light settings
So why do the got different brighntness? I did some testing:
RGB Light 1 1 1 - Efficacy Scale: Power drawn 95, Overall luminous efficacy 14
No Background lightning, Reinhard 3/1/10, D65

- Using no Efficacy Scale or merging all 4 meshes together causes this result

Thanks for pointing this out guys... learned something new todayKram1032 wrote:The efficacy scale doesn't give the relative energy amount / meter but the absolute one! It will get divided through the area.
To get similar results, you need to re-multiply/-divide the values with the area.
