just asking :D 8)
well, it's coming along, i've re-added smoothing, absorption, dispersion.
The horizontal line bug should be gone.

I'm waiting too for new version of INDIGO (0.6 test 2)...Actually i'm working with big s-f scene (future city) and i'm curious about speed up indigo more...Actually indigo is probably 2-3 times faster than first version (0.4 ?). Well, but it's still too slow for big scenes (my scene has 300.000 triangles, but not in one object. Whole scene has around 400-500 objects). In rendering window, i see that my computer is able to render 10033.00 mutations_per_sec...:( It's max value which i have got in 5 hours rendering.I have Athlon 2500+ and 512Mb Ram...I know that is poor configuration, but i hope that our Master Ono-Sendai will find some way to speed up INDIGO. Or maybe i first should buy better computer:) he he he he he he:) that's good way too:)

Big greetings for all Indigo-users, coders, exporters makers, and people who haven't heard about INDIGO yet and theirs human being is empty...

welcome hris :P
10033 mutations per sec are not bad imo :?
im sure that there will be a much faster version in future, all it need is time and the patience of nick

Hey jurasek...

try the void.nk for the Car Paint!
This NK Data Set (No idea what material it is exactly!) got Black color & a wonderfull
Fresnel Effect, that could look very nice on a car using hdr light (testing atm )

Well, i found some solution too speed up indigo...

Well, i found some solution too speed up indigo...My s-f scene with almost 300.000 triangles has only 10033.00 mutations per sec. I tried to optimise scene, and i reduced triangles to 182.000 :) how? well, quality of the scene is still the same, but i deleted triangles on backsides (sorry for my poor english) objects. What i mean saying "backsides triangles" ?
Well, all triangles which are invisible for camera:) All walls behind buildings, some windows on backyards or other triangles totally usless for scene. Now i get a 11699.00 mutations_per_sec.Maybe it's not so much, but is't almost 15 percent more!!!!
Actually it's only one way for me to speed up a indigo...maybe in the near future i will get better idea:) For 10 days (i suppose) i'll finish that big scene.

Big Greetings for all:)

Hris

And here is my last work, less triangles (18.000) and render time almost 9 hours: Amd x2 3800 64 bit (dual core), 2 Gb Ram.

Well the second one, lighten up by Sunlight looks very nice!
Here an example of my carPaint Test using void.nk:

(Very early WIP  )

To get some usable Carpaint we will have to wait untill shader support :?

Zom-B wrote:He he... the HDR is a 8000x4000 HDR Example from Sachform (with watermarks!) but for (blurry) reflections its nice to use (you got to convert it to exr by yourself!).
Only Problem it totaly owns your RAM, in v062 even little more than v0.61... the 71 MB exr takes 376MB more RAM than Background lightning
btw. sometimes indigo needs very long to load this exr file... about 2 - 3MB in a second. While loading, my computer responds very slowly, but CPU time isn't taken more than 1% :?:
In Network Rendering this happens (allways) too, but the exr loads much faster...
The same HDR File
