i just tested Indigo 4.4.14 indigo in network mode. indigo 4.4.14 crashes in network render mode, when i start in with 2 nvidia cards. this problem appeared in 4.4.10 and doesnt fixed up to this day... works only with single nvidia card. standalone master works wine with 2 cards.
Thanks for bug report, fixed for next release.

i found another indigo's bug. indigo cant render textures in exr format with alpha channel in gpu mode:

OpenCL rendering: unsupported image format: bytes per channel: 2 (num channels: 4)

but renders it in cpu mode.

another bug: i see 4 gpus, but only 2 1070ti gpu really installed on the board (4.4.14):

where can i clean the list?

p.s. i just swapped two cards to another.

Hi wob,

Indigo currently only queries devices once at startup. If you are hot-plugging GPUs, you'll have to restart Indigo.

Either way, it asks the OpenCL drivers for what devices there are, it's not cached in any way. So if you see more devices than there should be, something else is going on.

i just swapped two 1070ti cards to another my 1070ti cards (computer was stopped, not hot plug) and got this... indigo works in common way, without glitches, just shows it in the gpu list. gpu-z shows only 2 cards.

watch very common Indigo problems with animation

1. wrong textures / uv positions from frame to frame on camera movement:
strange_behavior1.zip
(5.67 MiB) Downloaded 205 times
strange_behavior2.zip
(5.77 MiB) Downloaded 231 times
it's not animated textures.

2. wrong lights levels from frame to frame on camera movement (tonemapping - filming, set to 100000)
strange_behavior3.zip
(7.46 MiB) Downloaded 215 times
it's not animated level of lights.

i have tons of the same wrong bad frames and can send it to you as much as you want.

p.s. it's not 4.4.14 indigo's problem. it's just ingido's problem. rendered in multi-gpu mode (2 or 3 cards).

main new problem of indigo for me is network rendering does not work with count of gpus more than count of real cpu cores.

I have the very same issue, first reported in May 2018: https://www.indigorenderer.com/forum/vi ... 93#p141593

This is still happening and whenever I am restarting render, I have to render extra frames...

did you use network rendering? i think, it can be network rendering glitches. i think, this bugs can be related to network rendering issues.

Hey wob,

your "strange_behavior2.zip" looks like there is some Z-Fighting going on, like your mesh has two planes super close together and they swap position due to precision limitations on GPU.

If you could share a reduced source file this could be investigated further :)

I often do animations too in Indigo, and never encountered something like this (but am on a single GPU)...

yes, i use for this test meshes with closest position of polygons.

I don't use network rendering, I use 3ds max integration. I do use multiple GPU's though...

Ηi,
Kind reminder about the issue I have with licenses after installing this beta. Downgraded to 4.4.13 and the issue persists.
Also I've sent you an email at support@
Best,
K.
