New problem. I have a slave rig with 6 Vega cards. After the update, the system will no longer render with all cards. 4 cards is the max before getting a thread limit crash.

I got a problem with double sided thin material.
If it's a mix with a coated material, in GPU mode, it's not working properly (crash or stuck)
here a small .pigs for test

Fixed for the next build, thanks for bug report!

Can you tell us from what (working) version you updated to this 4.2.23 build?
Have you tried installing the latest drivers, Adrenalin Edition 18.12.3 afaik.
Can you describe the "thread limit crash" a little more in detail? Is there some final message in the log, does Indigo on the next start tell you about a crash dump file (pls zip and post)?
Does your slave GPU setup also crash on a ultra simple scene?

Thanks in advanced!

I had to revert to version 66. The stable release. Indigo didn't have a crash log as it typically does. More like an error message, the same type you may get if an asset is missing. Restarting the same or another render doesn't bring up a log or a crash dump. On my host system, it just keeps trying to render with the slave. On the slave system, the client just restarts or the program exits. Running a test render directly on the slave works up to 4 GPU's. Adding a 5th or 6th results in a maximum thread limit exceeded. I had projects so didn't have time to document it better. the stable version 66 works perfectly though. Also, I did test it with the built-in test scenes and got the same results. The slave system is i3 7100-48gb ddr4-6 VEGA FRONTIER EDITIONS. I don't think my specs were the issue as it works just fine on the stable release.

Hi there !!!

I've been doing some test with this new version and i found that the sun displayed in the " OpenCl preview screen" does not match with the light casted from the sun light layer, i mean ,it seems that i have 2 suns ( or an extra unknown light source) in my scene :

Don't trust the thumbnail, disable your sky layer and see if there is a sunin your viewport ;)
Regarding the bright area on the left: since you pushed the sun LL power by x4.8 it is a good chance that this is simply the reflection of sunlight from a wall you have far left outside the camera. Disable the wall and see :)

Hi Zom-B! Thx for the reply.

I've made some new quick test without any changes in the model and now all is working like charm, the unknown light source seems to be gone, i just can not explain it :)

Sometimes sunsky or IBL rotation in Indigo GUI doesn't refresh correctly... noticed it for a while now.

Thx god you've had the same problem. I was starting to think that there was something wrong with me :p

The heavier the scene, i.e. the longer scene building and refresh takes, the more incorrect does the sunsky or IBL rotation behave. Often I prompt the new degrees 2-3 times... but sometimes it just won't set the correct rotation. Reducing resolution and supersampling for setting up the sun helps a lot here... but only sometimes.

was very surprised this made my system crash instantly after starting the render. rendered fine on CPU.

I love the new release! It has been working great until I use the network manager and slaves. It renders great, but then when it hits the halt point (or if I close the window when network rendering), the software locks up. I end up force closing and restarting. Makes it impossible to create a queue and let it go. All machines have 4.2.23. Is there an updated Network Manager?

Hi everyone. I was trying a new scene with exit portals
but it crash.

"GPU/Open CL support not implemented yet for this type of material: ExitPortalMaterial"

Hi, try CPU mode. For GPU mode ExitPortal is not implemented yet :)
