Indigo Renderer 4.0.48 Beta Release
Re: Indigo Renderer 4.0.48 Beta Release
About the Compositing option
Background plate overlay
Expand Compositing
For example, I wanted to apply this effect only to a girl
So you can exclude the background or the girl
Do not forget ID Material
To have options for the girl and for the background
You will need several options Browse

It seems like your backplate, or precisely the floor is a phong material... These grey pixels seem to be a reflection. Try to increase supersampling, and let it cook longer... or use a simple diffuse material.

Re: Indigo Renderer 4.0.48 Beta Release
Hi,
I've rendered with the same Options like in Indigo 3. But the Trick with supersampling is working. Problem is, you cannot go over Supersampling 10 and there are still some Artefacts. Rendering longer seems to go more worse.
The backround Material is flat but with Blend.
Thank you for your help
Kind regards,
Johannes

Please check out this video specifically aimed on this subject:

The option you definitely want to try is Contribution clamping. That's a feature specifically made to take away fireflies like in your render.

If nothing helps, please feel free to upload the packed Indigo scene (pigs) so we can take a look on it!

Re: Indigo Renderer 4.0.48 Beta Release
Hey guys, here's something to look at:
Since 4.0.48, foreground alpha produces an outline around the objects, but only in GPU mode. Just noticed it when putting in white backgrounds after days and days of rendering :-(
See the attached files... any ideas, or is it a bug?
All renders done with GPU (1060 6 GB, latest drivers), a quick test with BiDir didn't show the outlines on 4.048.
I stripped the scene to just the faucet and made it a pigs, can anyone confirm this behaviour?

Have you tried the 4.0.49 release?

Whoops, sorry about that. This is one of the perils of using a beta version.Polinalkrimizei wrote:Hey guys, here's something to look at:

This issue has been fixed for the next build, the problem occurs when multiple light layers are used with alpha.

Re: Indigo Renderer 4.0.48 Beta Release
Oh, and another thing I noticed during the GPU betas: When changing the HDRI in the background settings, it will not update properly in the render. Changing the a, b and c values does update correctly, but new background textures do not show up until clicking "foreground alpha" in the rendering menu.
Is that a bug, a feature or something I do wrong?

Updating env maps in realtime for GPU has been added for the next release.Polinalkrimizei wrote:Oh, and another thing I noticed during the GPU betas: When changing the HDRI in the background settings, it will not update properly in the render.
