Re: Indigo Renderer 4.0.46 Beta Release
Very good suggestions IMO.Sroka8888 wrote:So when Indigo on GPU will be Foreground alpha ,SSS, Light Layers will be awesome :D we wait for this :)
+ great idea is add some technical render pass
CLEAR DIFFUSE
Direct diffuse
Indirect diffuse
Direct specular
Indirect specular
Transparency
SSS
Double side with "backlight"
And all Light layers to seperate aovs
!!! one step to using this in projects
because quality of render is awesome and everyone in Platige say that filmic LUT is nice :)
+ add render hairs and :D
+ and maybe better connections with other programs like Houdini or maya ( cinema is +++ but no all use them)
I hope i some day use Indigo in some commercial projects .
And the best ... NOW i use Indigo to prelight some scene in projects !!!! its so fast than i can setupt with technical art director light 7x faster than ex.Arnold

Re: Indigo Renderer 4.0.46 Beta Release
[BUG]=Level:?
Getting an error when trying to save materials from ver4 to be compatible with ver3.
Yet saving the same mat for ver4 works perfect.
SIDE NOTE: Had several crashes today, with just simple Mat edits when changeing preview objects in the preview. It has something to do with the material input maps...i worked today on a more complex material and i had almost all inputs filled. Only the Material Preview window was running. But Indigo crashed 3x times.

That is not a bug, it's intended behaviour I think. Since Indigo 4 uses roughness now instead of exponent, you need a new texture in the roughness slot for the material to look the same.

Re: Indigo Renderer 4.0.46 Beta Release
You had a texture in the roughness slot right? Indigo can unfortunately not convert the material to v3 compatible if you have that. You could disable the texture and load a new one up in v3 though. :)Originalplan® wrote:I had a texture in the Mat slot in.Oscar J wrote:That is not a bug, it's intended behaviour I think. Re: Indigo Renderer 4.0.46 Beta Release
no, it had to do with light setup, but i didn't remember it to be as dark... probably I stare too long and yesterday felt like it was lighter, for sure! :D it has to do mainly with the seat, and other illumination discrepanciesOriginalplan® wrote:@pixie why are this so dark? Your mesh looks to be quite low quality. Those are some kind of smoothing artifacts.

Re: Indigo Renderer 4.0.46 Beta Release
use the "pick object" tool to select the object, then in the property editor window click the arrow next to "geometry" and then check "use shading normals"Jaksi wrote:Create a smoothing option to object.( Standalone Indigo Renderer )
