Indigo Renderer 4.0.46 Beta Release
Re: Indigo Renderer 4.0.46 Beta Release
yeah will fix.
Re: Indigo Renderer 4.0.46 Beta Release
I've loaded a large scene from a PIGs file and found that the interface is very unresponsive.
I can start the render and it works OK, but selecting any menus (eg drop down for Render Settings) is impossible, the screen just refreshes and hangs.
This is even before starting the rendering process.
I have plenty of system resources available. One CPU core is running but all else is quiet.
Closing the OpenGL Preview seems to fix this issue. CPU goes down to ~1% load.

Re: Indigo Renderer 4.0.46 Beta Release
With my large scene loaded and selecting Open CL + my GPU (titan 6gb) , there is no S/S activity or Spp progress showing.
The scene loads & builds OK.
For a few minutes it showed a black screen an nothing else.
Then the render started, and after a few minutes, still no S/S or spp action.
It seems slow so I figure the GPU is out of memory.

If you want a responsive GUI, you should preferably use a non-display GPU for rendering: http://www.indigorenderer.com/documenta ... ring-guide
Maybe you could upload the scene so we can take a look.

+1 but for plugins , not standalone.

+1 for Node for plugins...but it's a tuff nut.
Sometimes it eats up much more time to fiddle with nodes than to create the same mat the classic way.
Getting a great Node based UI/UX is a pretty big undertaking.
I would LOVE to see a +1 preset for only mat creation inside standalone Indigo first.
A layout only for mat creation rather then to rush instantly to a half baked Node workflow.
If it's done right it's superb..and i'm sure it will be just let's not rush. :)
In Cindigo i think implementation would be the easiest since Xpresso is already Node based so it would make sense to use that interface. Like Arnold does.

Re: Indigo Renderer 4.0.46 Beta Release
[BUG1] Level=easy
There is a slight color diff in Material preview window.
Mostly with Specular materials during OpenCL render + Tabulated data input.
(See pic down below.)
[BUG2] Level=easy
In OpenCL mode there is a tonemap diff between Bidir & OpenCL final render output.
It's off by +1.5 EV. When manually pulled back to -1.5EV in OpenCL mode then rendered images Tonemap is equal.

How odd. Can you post the material .igm?

Yes here you go Ono. It's a simplified version but the problem is still there.

Re: Indigo Renderer 4.0.46 Beta Release
So when Indigo on GPU will be Foreground alpha ,SSS, Light Layers will be awesome :D we wait for this :)
+ great idea is add some technical render pass
CLEAR DIFFUSE
Direct diffuse
Indirect diffuse
Direct specular
Indirect specular
Transparency
SSS
Double side with "backlight"
And all Light layers to seperate aovs
!!! one step to using this in projects
because quality of render is awesome and everyone in Platige say that filmic LUT is nice :)
+ add render hairs and :D
+ and maybe better connections with other programs like Houdini or maya ( cinema is +++ but no all use them)
I hope i some day use Indigo in some commercial projects .
And the best ... NOW i use Indigo to prelight some scene in projects !!!! its so fast than i can setupt with technical art director light 7x faster than ex.Arnold
