Thanks a lot burnin! Can you maybe just mention your GPU generation? :)

Zalevskiy wrote:interesting situation with denim material:
The first material has a bum scale of 4mm, the second of 3,5cm (!). If you change the first one to such a big value too, you end up with the same artefacts.

Zalevskiy wrote:@Zom-B thank you very much for your help with the reporting!
No problem Zalevskiy :)
But as I just mentioned, best to take a break and let the devs fix some of these material issues first before you test further. With this NVIDIA based issue that burnin just confirmed you'll end up with a ton of "broken" mats that are only caused by a few bugs....
Better to keep on testing after the next build mate :)

Those same 3 bugs also appear on my NVidia GTX960.

thesquirell wrote:Not sure if it's a bug, could also be a feature thing, but when using Normal map with GPU rendering, default gamma value of 2.2000 gives funky results, while in CPU it renders "normally". Changing the value to 1.0 gives "normal" results, but it seems a bit weaker then the CPU Normals. So, if you're having funky problems, watch out for gamma. Also, to point out, the default value for gamma in the Cindigo (Cinema4D exporter) is 1.0, so, this won't happen if you're using the exporter, but when testing/creating a material from the default scene, it could cause confusion. Or, it's a bug. :P

@Zalevskiy: Товарищ, check your gamma.
Gamma is ignored for normal maps on CPU, have implemented this behaviour for GPU as well.

Please download the material if it is technically possible with the GPU, thanks :)

absorption_layer_transmittance is not implemented yet for GPU, will add that soon.

interesting situation with denim material:
It's a problem with strong bump mapping on GPU - the normal was not clamped. Fixed for next release.

I've been some issues with tiling textures, is there an option to stop the tiling altogether?
