Indigo Renderer 4 public beta
Re: Indigo Renderer 4 public beta
Thanks OScar, I understand. :)
Finally I found the problem : exportaion with CUDA !!!
Sorry for the mistake. All working :)
NO, EDIT: still lightlayers and sun position don´t reacts. The rest works. (every change a minute of rebuid: the kernel hell for a GTX 980). But is great. I can adjust all in cpu and then change to GPU. Luck with the bottleneck of kernel, hope soon is fixed ...

Thanks Zom-B, I'll check it out. :)Zom-B wrote:Nope, that absolutely uncommon!afecelis wrote:I also keep getting the program reset back to trial every time I launch it, even after entering my serial/license and activating it. Is this normal?
Check out your license.sig, maybe it is write protected and can not update or sth like that...

Pure GPU don't work for me.
iMac 27 - i7 / Nvidia Geforce GTX 680MX (2048), with latest cuda driver installed.
Loading, building and openCL are OK, but nothing on rendering.

Re: Indigo Renderer 4 public beta
Thanks Oscar good to know! I'm very pleased with what i seen so far from V4..i only had minutes to play with but i plan on doing some fun stuff this weekend and take it for a real spin.Oscar J wrote:Cool tests! 3 minutes is properly quick for nice looking SSS.
If you purchased Indigo after the 3.8 stable was released, v4 is a free upgrade. If you didn't there will still be upgrade prices from Indigo 3 I think.
You guys did a great job i'm very proud & biggest respects for the Glare team!
Pro work.

Try a PRAM reset Option, Command (⌘), P, and R. @boot till your mac restarts a second time.
(press immediately after you press power button)
And try quit EVERY open application. ( Only indigo4 is ON )
Check if any background task are using the GPU if so force quit them in Activity monitor.
Let's see if it works. Please try CPU render too.
And please report back.

Re: Indigo Renderer 4 public beta
Hi all,
I downloaded the free beta but the Max plugin doesn't support 4 gpus.
Also the standalone needs a lot of time to compile and send the scene to the gpus.
The first gpu starts to render aft some time, after about one minute the second one starts to render, after several minutes the third and forth gpu. I tested the bedroom scene.
Regarding the Max plugins I noticed that there is no skylight, sun, ies lights, lights planar, spherical, etc.
Please, don't tell me that I have to create by myself target lights....
Does exists a Vray and Standard material converter?
regards

Is there a CUDA-specific version number ? I'm on Windows with that GTX260 and I just installed:snorky wrote:sorry 362.00 is for windowsPatrice wrote:Hello Snorky !

Is the board definitively out of the GPU race or is it hopefully going to work at some point ?NVCUDA.DLL 8.17.13.4195 NVIDIA CUDA 6.5.51 driver

Re: Indigo Renderer 4 public beta
Yonosoy: Yup, light layers are on the to-do list as you can see in the initial post. I have reported the sun position bug. There will be optimising of the kernel builds so that they happen faster and less often. Many material changes, camera changes and viewport manoeuvring should happen without kernel rebuilds already though.
CTZn: yes I think getting that GPU to work properly is unlikely, even 400 series GPUs don't work I think. Even if it did work it would probably be much slower than CPU rendering, and with much less memory.
GPUs that seems to work particularly well are Maxwell NVIDIA cards (GTX 750 Ti or the GTX 900 series) or any decent AMD card from later generations (even old 7950s and 7970s work very well). A tip is to keep your old GPU as display unit, and use a modern GPU for the OpenCL rendering.

Re: Indigo Renderer 4 public beta
My one and only scene that works, kernell Box when I change the materials to phong ceases to, it hangs building kernel. If I try to change on the fly it crashes

Had it set to 0, now managed by the system. :)
