I know such problems in the installation process if I have Indigo still running, and try to overwrite with a new version...

Experimenting with the scatter function.

I report that if I select the option "orient towards target normals" indigo freezes and then exits.

Keeping on testing..

**EDIT**
There seem to be some issues when the scattered objects is painted with something different from the SketchUp default material.

**EDIT 2**
Scattering at the moment seems not to work with dummy components (the proxy element isn't substituted with the real geometry; the proxy is correctly spreaded on the base geometry though)

Can you email us a PIGS that shows this problem? Thanks!

i'm not sure if this exactly relates to the 3.8.15 release but it looks like some work has been done on the material DB for reading on mac..

this used to be a mess:

(while i'm at it though.. note the green color of 'Red acrylic' ;) )

so that's nice.. but if i search for certain things, it's still a mess.. here, i searched for 'sss':

still a mess.

(and while i'm at it part 2.. maybe check out the material "Human Blood".. using it in a scene is horribly slow.. like crazy slow ;) )
