Hi guys,
I wasn't successful to render anything with CUDA under ArchLinux:

Code: Select all

dak@380v ~ % uname -a
Linux 380v 3.15.1-1-ARCH #1 SMP PREEMPT Tue Jun 17 09:32:20 CEST 2014 x86_64 GNU/Linux
With OpenCL everything seems to work as intended:

With CUDA rendering seems to start, but then halts and the only way to exit Indigo is to terminate the process:

Here is the report from hwinfo:

There is a tiny UI bug - supersampling factor title doesn't react on a font change in qtconfig-qt4:

Voroni ISL shaders don't work.
For example this material:

I always get an error message...

Yep, I can confirm that too.

Code: Select all

Error while building scene: Error while loading diffuse material 'letchee': Failed to find function 'voronoi(vec2, vec2)'.
buffer, line 93:
	pyra(voronoi(tile(mypos()), mypos()), mypos())

Exit portals now make the scene clear up more slowly than when not using them... First one is without EP.

The same thing happens in 3.6 actually, maybe it's a blending issue.

However I can still use the post-processed dof so the problem is not that big.
This problem should be fixed in the next release (3.8.5).

So cool :) I have done a simple test today. It doesn't look that bad already. However I have to measure the focal distance next time I'm taking the background images. Also maybe glue an obstacle map directly on the lens,
hm, that would be interesting...

No no no, just the balls are. It's just an compositing attempt. ;)

BTW, I have to admit while working with compositing I don't understand why is the opacity slider there?
It has no purpose for me if every time I move it one of the images fades out. It would be logical to see both of the images all the time, so one cud than adjust the camera settings to match the composition (?)

Sorry for my BE :)
