Yes. It means you can drag an .IGS file from, for example, Windows explorer, onto the Indigo window, and Indigo will load the scene.
no igmesh?
no merging scene?

I tried it on a existing simple Studio Setup and attached the results.
You can see that the reflection on higher angle areas aren't that strong anymore, so the leather doesn't burn out that easy here, and the chrome on the bottom doesn't reflect the pure black ceiling with 100%.
It looks like "fresnel scale" was reduced, but in the end I like the results :)
I had a ~5% slowdown in samples/sec for this scene in the new version btw...

Sure, first I've set a 2:1 ratio, then I selected camera, choose spherical camera from the drop down menu, afterwards I dropped the picture into Pano2vr (thankfully iy also supports drag-n-drop, so there's a sort of continuity), set the limits and exported it to flash.

Hi all,

I think these are the current drivers 12.10 AMD who have a problem.

I can not start rendering with GPU acceleration enabled, samples / second rise in 4000 5000 view but the image is black.

In other cases Indigo immediately closes after a few seconds rendering.

The solution to my problem before is to use beta drivers. This is not a solution for my other applications and games.

I have to wait for the 12.11 drivers end. : (

I have a Radeon HD 5770 1GB

I'll keep you posted on the improvements the new drivers.

Hey Xoan,

try to render some simple scene first like the Erotica testscene in the Indigo Installation Folder.
It is possible that your scenes require more RAM than available on your GPU, maybe double check that with a special tool, like MSI Afterburner.

Erotica on stage without GPU acceleration, rendering works correctly.

If I enable GPU acceleration, render starts but closes immediately without Indigo message after a few seconds.

By enabling GPU acceleration, by choosing my graphics card or my processor, Indigo closes.

I have the same problem no matter the stage used, even when empty.

I have to wait for the 12.11 drivers from AMD to confirm.

I can not install the beta for some of my applications are found unstable.

Hey Xaon,

then lets read out the Indigo related GPU info, by running a command line.
Simply create a textfile and rename to "GPUinfo.cmd"
Inside that txt file write:

Code: Select all

indigo_console.exe --gpu_info
PAUSE
Put that cmd file into your Indigo folder and run it.
Copy the whole output and paste it here :)

Thanks a lot Xaon, no its on the Glare Team to check out whats wrong here :)
Only idea would be now to try rendering in OpenCL mode but using your CPU, just checking if that works at least.
Your OpenCL version is 1.2 and Indigo is using OpenCL1.1 but I don't thing there should be an issue here...

By enabling GPU acceleration using the processor to the graphics card instead, I also have this problem.

No, really, I'll wait for 12.11, which will correct this problem.

This problem appeared with the 3.4.x version of Indigo Renderer.
I do not have any problems with previous versions.

With versions 3.4.x and 3.6, I can sometimes start rendering with GPU acceleration enabled, the software does not close, only the image is black and the number of samples flew to the 5000-6000 samples / s.

Everything is up to date on my computer, and I also regularly monitors the presence of new updates.

In the ocurrence something to change in the functioning OF indigo renderer since version 3.4.

But what?

nice release!

one small gui thing I've noticed on recent versions - on Mac we seem to have lost the ability to size the main app window smaller in the width using the lower right corner grab. the height of the window scales as expected, and on dual monitors you can drag the window out wider than your main monitor screen, to the full dual-screen width, but it seems to "stick" at a minimum of the full-screen width.

it's a small thing, but can be annoying. thanks!
