What new features would that be?pixie wrote:Was wondering if Yves has also been working on new features to add to Indigo for Cinema. ;)
Everything you can do with Indigo is implemented in Indigo for C4D.

Re: Indigo 3.4 Stable released
There's a lot into it, but we can always praise for more. For example (a) Indigo supports scientific notation and Indigo for Cinema doesn't, it wouldn't be much of a problem if cinema own numerical system wasn't a bit limited. (b) although Environment Map can be set it isn't shown so one cannot mix it with the scene. (a)&(b) had been minimized from the moment one could tweak it on Indigo Renderer side, still an obvious place for improvement. (c) Linking to external materials, sometimes you simply can't import materials (parametric materials), and in some cases (blended materials) one can have tons of blended materials just for the sake of one material being applied, which leads me to (d), a layered materials system which allows one to take the full advantage of it without the mess (that goes to Indigo too BTW). (e) Ease the process of export which can be the most time consuming of them all, whether through a solution such as Fire (Fast Interactive Rendering) from Maxwell or through efficient exporting, for example one could have an option where one wouldn't need to export the complete scene again and again, one could just export the updates to materials, cameras, etc... exporting multiple cameras where possible. (f) Some external shaders plugins (such as Tools4D excelent texture remmaping kit, or Jack's SurfaceSpread one) works out of the box with other renderers, without their authors having to write specifically to them, so a new plugin arrives and they can take advantage from the get go.PureSpider wrote:What new features would that be?

These are some, but I bet there are more that could help Indigo for Cinema being better.

Indigo 3.4 Stable released
Great work, guys!
Re: Indigo 3.4 Stable released
But there are still bugs and workflow features etc. that would enhance the Cindigo experience even more!PureSpider wrote:What new features would that be?pixie wrote:Was wondering if Yves has also been working on new features to add to Indigo for Cinema. ;)

I have a 158 lines long textfile with ToDo Stuff only for Cindigo that I gave to fused.
Cindigo is a awesome exporter and great to work with, but there is still stuff missing not working or solved suboptimal.
