Indigo Renderer 3.0 and Indigo RT
Re: Indigo Renderer 3.0 and Indigo RT
Hi all,
About GPU acceleration of bidirectional path tracing:
We will definitely have a look at this and most likely release a 3.0 update that supports it.
Cheers,
nick

Now that sounds veeery interesting. Would it also support Glass Acceleration ?

Nice to here!
Good luck for the update. We are waiting for it. And yes please make update free also for trial users.

Yes, should do.StompinTom wrote:Now that sounds veeery interesting. Would it also support Glass Acceleration ?

Bonjour,

Apologies for not translating that long answer :)

There's no discount of upgrade from 2.xx to 3.xx license?Ludwolf76 wrote:Thank's a lot...and....great job Glare Tech !!!fused wrote:Hi,Ludwolf76 wrote:Hi...when I go to the buy now page...I can only see a new licence option and a new render node licence... where can I upgrade from indigo 2 to indigo 3? there is an "Upgrade" button on your license page on the store.

there is a discount for the upgrade.
It is €145, instead of €195.

Sorry if I'm missing something very obvious, but is it possible to upgrade from a student 2.0 license to a student 3.0 licence?
I can't seem to see an upgrade link anywhere. :-)
Thanks

it will be possible. The upgrade for the student license will cost €50 (and there will be no special price for it). It's not possible right now, but we will make it possible soon.

Re: Indigo Renderer 3.0 and Indigo RT
Hallo everybody,
I`m disappointed, because I bought a Indigo 2.x license in march 2011 for 595€. Now i have to recognise that the 3.0 costs only 399€. When I buy a 3.0 upgrade i have to pay 145€, which means that, in the end i have payed 740€ for a 3.0 licence. Is there any way to get the 3.0 version a bit cheaper?
Also weird is that I´m not even able to test the 3.0 version because it says that my test period is over, maybe because i have allready installed a 2.x version. Is there any way to fix this problem except of installing it on another pc?

Re: Indigo Renderer 3.0 and Indigo RT
Can't help you with the pricing question, but you can test Indigo 3 by reducing your render resolution to something =< 0.7 mega pixel e.g. 1000x700.
In fact on my PC at work I only run the free/trial version and after the warning I click one of the two available buttons (don't know which one as I am at home right now) and it automatically reduces the resolution to something below .7 Mpixel maintaining the aspect and continues to render.

Re: Indigo Renderer 3.0 and Indigo RT
Hi,
Sorry if this has been answered before (searched the forum with no results), but what about indigo 3.0 and RT on linux ?
Will it be available on that platform, and if yes, when ?
