Re: Indigo Renderer 2.4.8 Released
Emitting materials + sunlight seem to crash Indigo. Indigo crashes on rendering (Indigo.exe has stopped working).

What is salmon noise in indigo? Searching this in the posts gives no answer! ( and neither in google...)

Salmon-colored noise (light pink)
Re: Indigo Renderer 2.4.8 Released
Fixed for 2.4.9.StompinTom wrote:Emitting materials + sunlight seem to crash Indigo. Indigo crashes on rendering (Indigo.exe has stopped working).
The crash is due to Oren-nayer being an emitter and having zero albedo. Use diffuse instead for your emitters for now.

Re: Indigo Renderer 2.4.8 Released
Great job guys, it seems to be lightning fast with my house scene!
I like the GUI improvements a lot!
But there are still minor issues:
- the bottom info line ist still being cropped when the window is scaled smaller than the rendered image (as seen in the attachments)
- light layers panel input fields, buttons and text are still half size of the rest of the GUI (e.g. the default)
- some issues in the GUI variants, see the attachments
But as I said, great job anyway... rock on, guys!

Re: Indigo Renderer 2.4.8 Released
Hi,
I installed V2.4.8 in NotePC.
However, the error occurred and it was not possible to start...
I'm sorry it is written in Japanese.
The message of the purport that "Side By Side composition" is not correct.
The event log was the following content (It was made machine translation because of Japanese).
- It failed in the generation of the context of making actively of "C:\Program Files\Indigo Renderer\material_editor.exe".
- The error of the manifest or the policy file "C:\Program Files\Indigo Renderer\Microsoft.VC90.OpenMP.MANIFEST" line 4.
- It doesn't agree to ID of the component that component ID in the manifest is demanded.
- The reference is Microsoft.VC90.OpenMP,processorArchitecture="x86",publicKeyToken="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b",type="win32",version="9.0.21022.8"
- The definition is Microsoft.VC90.OpenMP,processorArchitecture="x86",publicKeyToken="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b",type="win32",version="9.0.30729.4148"
- Please execute sxstrace.exe to do a detailed diagnosis.
Is there something a good method?

Re: Indigo Renderer 2.4.8 Released
Uploaded a new mac build that works with osx 10.5 and 10.6. See first post
@Zeitmeister:
We are aware of these issues and they will be fixed by the time of the final 2.4 stable. That the info line is still cut off in some cases is new to me. :S
Thank you for reporting!
edit: also fixed the linux links

Re: Indigo Renderer 2.4.8 Released
Regarding GUI based stuff, if you anyway work on it here a few things to polish:
1) After rendering reaches halt condition, the image don't get updated (saving via GUI also saves "old" image!)
Pressing "update image" doesn't help here! Also tonemapping layers etc. don't work... quite useless!!!
2) The histogram don't get updated if you change stuff in the light Layers!
3) After loading a scene in Indigo it would be nice, if all the settings could be updated to the scene parameters, atm only resolution gets set!
4) Zooming down for the image results in bad quality downsize filter (NearestNeighbor?!). Could be a better algo be used for this, so the image Aliasing stops raping our eyes?!

Re: Indigo Renderer 2.4.8 Released
Has the issue with alpha rendering been resolved?
Re: Indigo Renderer 2.4.8 Released
Ryouta Sumeragi: Thanks for the report, we'll put out a fixed build soon.
Zom-B: Thanks also for reporting these important issues! I'll have a look at the image downsizing soon, right now it's using straight Qt zooming which we couldn't get to work with bilinear filtering. I'll write some code to do this fast Regarding light layers and histogram:
Neo0: we haven't looked it yet sorry.

afaik that seems to be chromatic aberration i could be wrong thoughRyouta Sumeragi wrote:Is Salmon noise such the one?

The following values were used.
Glass=IOR1.6:Cauchy=0.01
Water=IOR1.33:Cauchy0.005
I found here and try other values.
