Re: Indigo Renderer 3.2.0
Hi Pibuz, Leaving the bottom hemisphere black in the new sky model was intentional. However, I can change it if need be. Would it be more helpful if it was e.g. a ground colour? any reason why there's no ground plane option to begin with in indigo? (or is there?) i guess if the entire infinite plan...

Re: How to use environment maps?
i was able to use environment maps in the first beta that had them as materials (3.0.15?) but with the newer betas, i couldn't get them to work.. all my renders were completely black even if i maxed out the EV/gain/iso.. i tried applying the environment material to a surface in sketchup in which cas...

Re: texture resolution limit
i just did a fairly unscientific test :D using a 3760 x 4832 rez chart scan found here: http://www.gpsinformation.org/jack/photo-test/pics/iso-rag.jpg the left side of this indigo render via sketchup was linked to a high rez copy while the right side is via sketchup: indigo.jpg to my eye, they both ...

Re: texture resolution limit
you can link to the hi-rez file in the skindigo material editor..
for the Albedo of the texture in question, choose 'Texture' instead of 'SketchUp' then click the '...' button beside albedo.. choose 'New' and navigate to the hi-rez file..

Re: Wishlist
ha.. never tried monochrome prior to exporting. I just assumed the materials would go along with it regardless of viewing mode.. re: ground plane.. yeah. it's easy to draw a square on the ground but sometimes I'd like the plane to extend to the horizon.. I always find myself drawing a huge square at...
Re: Wishlist
maybe a material override option? (for clay renders of already textured model) basically, click a button and all the materials will export as a single user defined material. also. a ground plane option would be nice (not sure if this is could be done via skindigo alone?) (not original ideas.. stole ...

Re: SkIndigo Tutorials Ideas
no so much of a tutorial but more of an explanation about certain material settings.. for instance, bump defaults at 0.01.. .01 what? meters, inches, model units? etc. i know it used to be meters.. then it switched or something.. and now i'm not sure what it means.. i don't do much bump mapping but wh...

Re: Skindigo as an Extension?
oh, i meant to add this tidbit as well… google hasn't yet tied in to Lion's new versions and autosave features but i suppose they will eventually (rhino osx has already done it and it's sweet).. basically, you're no longer prompted to save a file because lion does it automatically.. you have one mai...

Skindigo as an Extension?
hi Whaat. is there any reason in particular why skindigo can't be an extension? (you know, the plugins you can turn on/off in sketchup prefs) i ask this because of this constant little battle i have with skindigo which i talked about last year: http://www.indigorenderer.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=100...

if you right-click on the word skindigo when it's underlined in red then choose 'Learn Spelling', Lion will quit trying to auto-correct 'skindigo'..

Re: SkIndigo 3.2.0 (beta)
Did this scene work before with previous Indigo/skindigo versions? Can you try reverting to SkIndigo 3.0.15 or 3.0.14 to see if it works? (Both of these will work with Indigo 3.2.0) Also, could you post the PIGS file for testing? Thanks! hey Dale, it was just a clay cube which i tried testing but i...
