RIGHT, i forgot about that. I had read that somewhere, but i didnt remember when i wrote that post.

It'd be nice if exporting to igs was as easy as memory dump, but thats not possible i think.

also make sure that you model everything in proper scale, or set the world scale parameter in exporters, because then the lumens and candela stuff wont hold true.

i just realized candela means candle in italian and spanish ^^

perhaps you are right ( :oops: ), i just made a couple of subdivided spheres (5) each with 200 000 faces. I see your point oogsnoepje, but i think it'd be too much work for such a small gain, specially cuz most of us use NTFS with 7200 RPM disks or higher.

lol, kram: i wasnt implying we should try for an sse2/3 speedup, just saying that in my experience, sse2/3 wasnt a big speedup in blender.
