wob: this is using Indigo scattering, which creates the instances in Indigo itself.
This tends to be a lot faster and use less memory, since it avoids the export process, doesn't try and render previews in C4d, etc..

Re: h
Looks good, is that with the updated sky model? (e.g. with latest Indigo release)

Re: Indigo Renderer 4.4.8 Beta
Upon further investigation, the problem is with running out of total GPU memory, not with the size of any particular allocation.
I have improved the behaviour of Indigo to show an error dialog when we get such a GPU error, instead of just printing to the render log.

Re: Indigo Renderer 4.4.8 Beta
I replied to your email, but i'll answer here as well for others: What the problem is, is a memory allocation failure. If you look in the Indigo render log (under render settings on the right side of Indigo), you will probably see something like Exception while advancing OpenCL PT on device 'GeForce...

Re: Indigo Renderer 4.4.8 Beta
Since Beta 4.4.5, GPU rendering via SketchUp with >300 M Polygons is problematic. If GPU rendering and/or denoising is enabled, rendering process starts but with 0.00 samples per pixel and 0 M samples. It doesn't get any higher than 0 and this problem occurs more than 70% in scences with this much ...

Re: Indigo Renderer 4.4.7 Beta
Currently I'm testing with an AMD GPU and a Nvidia GPU. Scaling works almost perfectly when using both GPUs, GPU usage is > 95% using both at once. Maybe it's an issue with multiple Nvidia GPUs at once, will try that out soon.

Re: Indigo Renderer 4.4.7 Beta
Yeah just noticed that as well, it's a bug, will fix.
Specifically it's probably a bug with coating absorption on GPU.

Sure, that's an exporter issue, which exporter/plugin are you using?

Re: portal problem with Indigo GPU
Hmm maybe, but some kind of exit portal improvements for single-dir might be a better approach for GPU initially.
