I hand-edit XML like a real man!!! j/k :o Can't remember where I just heard this joke, but here it is: - I edit my files with VI. - Oh yeah? I use Emacs. - pff, I use Ed. - Ed? thats for loosers, I just use 'cat' and pipes. - What? I use a hex editor and alter my file system directly. - You're so l...

Well, that cancels my project. Just used this. Works great! Exactly what I was looking to do myself. I might still do my version, for the coding experience, but it's put off at this point. Yeah, my gui is still go. I have no interest (just me, not harshing on this awesome program) in setting file p...

http://studentweb.ewu.edu/rply90/IndigoBatch.zip Here is my program. Others could probly do way better. Download it and unzip it into a directory. It has an .ini file you need to configure. Requires: Java 1.5 Indigo Renderer 0.5 (sorry 0.6 people) indigobatch.ini: if in linux/unix, set 'wine' to ye...

Oh yeah. Its a piece of cake. It just doesn't work for 0.6 and onward. And I'd have to play with it a bit to make sure it worked across operating systems. (I'm in Linux). I could probly have it done from my existing code in just a few hours. Let me know what you think, and lets hear some ideas on wh...

I've played with the auto-stopping of indigo for animation purposes. The best I came up with was to use java so that it would run on most any OS. The problem is that it only works with pre-0.6 becase the threading in 0.6 and on breaks java's process stopping. I also had problems with indigo being in...

Oh sorry johanjohan, didn't mean to confuse you. Sunny 16 is a photography term. Its basically a summers day in brighness for us non-photography people. (Actually, a summers day may be a bit brighter than sunny16). Anyway, keep lowering you're sky_gain. 0.005 is a good starting point, just keep lowe...

Hard shadows happen all the time. Take a Sunny 16 day. As long as my shadow isn't much longer than I am tall, it will appear to be nice and sharp. There's a limit to what our eye's can see. Todo it in indigo I believe that you set up a sun with a low gain. When I experimented with linear tonemapping...

Stop rendering with the keyboard

I was curious if the next version of indigo could read the keyboard for a character or something that would stop the program. Like if I press 'x' from the terminal I started indigo from, it would shut down. Basically I've been writing a front end for myself to help with animations and haven't been a...

Now that Maluminas has posted I have a new favorite. I see people discussing the ground, I had thought that someone would use a colored ground like the colors in this post: http://www.indigorenderer.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=17 You could see how the material reflected and absorbed colors. Either way...
