dont include extra loop cuts to build sharp edges.

you can also crease the edges to flow better and make them really sharp!

blender booleans are very bad. they work great with simple objects and are useless with semi complex/dense objetcs.

i would rather pre-think the object and model boolean interactions on your own.

mhx, my tea pot scene was rendered with mtl one time and than with mtl and BiDir. The speed is the same - the result 99 the same. BiDir is slightly brighter. Am I missing something? edit: looks like normal smoothing different. The bended mesh as a backdrops is rendered without smoothing interpolation.

it also looks close to apples logo - shape of an apple.

davec, designing is fun - learning it a hard rocky way.

the new logo is already quite more different. put the words
renderer and "ndigo" some where.

render engine or so could be on the left of the "I".

keep on going!

Ono,

is it somehow possible to release a document which explains the differences between those render types and for which they are suitable?

Path Tracing, MTL, BiDir,

ok, I did some research on the web to find out what this all means
in terms of what the pro and cons are. But I did not find the answers
I was looking for. Anybody could tell me the pros of all those three
render types?

and when should u use which?

something i very much like in KT is that the actual selected model wil be used for the preview. i tried to build few times my own scene and for some reason the materials in the preview scene were different to what i rendered later. transparency acted very different. it would nice in case the indigo ...
