Re: Help with network rendering

Looks like the node license "thing" is fixed now. Maybe just some user error. The other stuff still does not work. I un-instaled McAfee completely on one of the machines but it did not make any difference. The Master just does not see the Slaves and the slaves, while listening on port 7100 never rec...

Re: Help with network rendering

One thing I already noticed yesterday is that the license upgrade for the nodes does seem to be permanent. I entered the license information into the apropriate window and it showed the it's now a node 3.0 license, however, when I rebooted the machine it went back to a node 2.0 license. deleting the...

Re: Help with network rendering

I appreciate the help and will try some things.
My kids now have taken a hold of their computers and rendering with Indigo parallel to Minecraft and WoW would disagree with them, so I'll have to defer further experiments until later ;-)

Re: Help with network rendering

Yes, I've tried it with the Network manager as well. It does not show either a master or a client.
It also has a licensing window, and shows no license as I don't have one.

Re: Help with network rendering

Ok. Ono added 2 Indigo 3 Node Licenses, which I registered and verified. However, I can still not see these in the network panel in Indigo on the master. When I start he slaves I get the message as shown in the screen shot on both slave machines. The Firewall is disabled on both slaves. I've tried t...

Re: Help with network rendering

Hi OscarJ thanks for the help! I am sure they could sort this out. They would not have to though if this would work ;-) I can only see that the node version needs to be updated on the slave machine. There I can click on the only user interface element, the big blue button labeled "Upgrade to 3.0". T...

Re: Help with network rendering

I have figured out part of the problem. The node licenses are Indigo version 2.xx These would need to be updated to Indigo 3.xx
At the moment it looks like that's a paid upgrade and thats not going to happen.

Re: Help with network rendering

Did this ever get resolved ? I've run int a similar problem. My main machine is an iMac (OS X 10.11.2) and the two slaves are PCs with Win10. All are connected per WiFi to a relatively new Airport Time capsule. The slaves don't find the master and the master does not show any slaves. I am wondering ...

Re: Node license activation

Autodesk Fusion 360.
It provides a perfect blend between T-Spline and solid modeling.

For an aspiring designer it's definitely something to look at. It still lacks many features that more powerful software packages such as Autodesk Alias have, but it is developing quite rapidly.

Re: Node license activation

There is one question the I'd like to answer as my secondary modeling package.
That actually is Fusion 360. This should be interesting for you OscarJ. There is not direct link to Indigo unfortunately.

Re: Node license activation

Aha. Thanks! I had found it before, clicked on the link and was presented with an online form requesting me to fill out "stuff". Needless to say, these questions are a tad out of Date, I mean, OS X Lion ?

Now that I've clicked past it I should be good to go! Thanks again for the help!

Node license activation

I've sent an email to support@indigorender.com but have not received a response yet. If I remember correctly (and I may actually be wrong) there were two node licenses included with the initial Indigo license I purchased. I've never used these but aside from my main machine now have two idling PCs i...

Re: Another LED lamp

Thanks for the feedback :-) I've had the saturation question for a while. user galinette suggested that Indigo might be clamping values somewhere but an answer was never provided by the powers that be ;-) thanks for the suggestion with the XYZ sliders. I'll see where I can get with that. Ultimately ...
