Aha, so that might be whats happening, I tought it was something wrong with max 2012, but when I come to think about it all the scenes that crashes has been maxigo scene's :)

I hope you find out whats wrong, cause I have some scenes I would like to render ;)

Sometimes I wonder if you are a troll, since you just quoted that part of my post, if you take a read there is plenty of info there.
And why would it hurt to get better at modeling, I cant see why?

Why don't you just learn to model properly? It's not something to set aside learning, you have been here for so many years now, start to make some damn progress -.- Get a hold of blender, and there is plenty of sides to learn how to model, I can tell that you are full of energy and never give up wor...

zeitmeister: Thanks, the colors is something I did in photoshop after, since it looked flat and boring before that.
What I was not satisfied about is the overall look, it looks a bit cartoony, not as photoreal as I would hope :P

Ah, that might explain it, but why does indigo do that?
I mean if we load a 32 bit map, it's because we want to use on right ;)

OnoSendai: Well i think most of us know thats the cause, but dcm said he has used 8 bit images for bump in other renderengines without problems, because they do some internal filtering to smooth it out.

When i click "Materials -> Upload a material" it just takes me to the front page of the forum, remember this is from here not from the material editor.
