Re: Blendigo 3.8.5.2

@vis4arch

You can already do a hell of a lot with Blender's particle systems and group instancing. You get quite a lot of control from within Blender. Have you tried that?

Render Settings -> Rendering Mode -> Custom

Then check BiDir, Metropolis, etc. and if you check Alpha Mask, it will render with alpha :)

Re: exr-background export settings in blendigo

And to the devs: The latter requires quite some trial and error, is there a better solution in sight to rotate the env-map directly in blender? I quite like that method of rotating the env. map, it's very precise. If your environment maps are all consistently aligned, it's quite easy to position th...

- Are those objects meshes, not extruded curves?
- Is there any object scaling?
- Are all objects enabled for rendering?

Check these and see if that helps...

Re: RhIndigo - Indigo for Rhinoceros 5.0 thread

Must be a locality / language thing... It exports '.' for me. Will have a look, maybe there's an easy way to force using '.'.

Haven't had much free time at all lately, but hopefully will upload some material stuff and this fix at some point soon.

High-contrast Computational Caustic Design (SIGGRAPH 2014)

Simulate it in Indigo, maybe? :P I have no doubt it would be well up for the job!

Got basic material export working. Indigo diffuse and phong materials are now options in the material editor.

Re: RhIndigo - Indigo for Rhinoceros 5.0 thread

Had a bit of time this weekend to push this a bit further... Render settings and such presumably save with the 3DM file now, though testing is needed. Very basic control of resolution, tonemapping, render mode, etc. No materials yet, been going through some documentation on adding custom materials a...

Have a play, but I find that Radial and Fast work very nicely. IIRC, Thomas suggested these as the ideal combo :)
