Re: DVD player + Tuner

Hi everyone! Here is my latest... I know there's a problem with the "E" in "Kenwood" (I need to subdivide the "E" so that the light can reflect on it properly). :D Hi Madcoo, Just my two cents about your E, I don't think it's a subdivision problem, but a normal problem. Maybe the normal are inverte...

Re: bullet time

Not to offend you, but it's still incorrect. According to the bullet's speed, the liquid can not be already fallen to the table. The splash should be definitely horizontal, the liquid just can't pour like that on the table if the bullet is still so close. I don't know if you can simulate it with the...

Re: bullet time

Wow ! The broken glass is very cool. If I may suggest an humble improvement, you should try to model a big splash of liquid carried away by the bullet, like in these pictures : http://www.flickr.com/photos/9899098@N04/3320290337/in/set-72157618746985236/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/9899098@N04/3385...

Re: Iceberg

The icerberg rendered with 2.0.10 (approx 6K spp). The water suddenly looks dark.

A also tried a hires version with 1.1.14, but stopped after 80 hours. Even with way more spp, the picture seemed impossible to converge, I was not able to get as good caustics as I did at 800x600.

Re: Iceberg

The top of that iceberg is pretty much perfect... The fun part is that it is absolutely accidental ! I spent an hour drawing a displacement map in PS, using photos of real icebergs, but when I rendered, I forgot to change the map in Blendigo. So the map really used was just a weightmap drawn by han...

Re: Iceberg

Ok, I think I'm done. I cut the iceberg in two meshes : the emerged one, unsmoothed with a displacement map, and the underwater one, smoothed with a simple fbm() displacement function. At first I tried to put SSS on the underwater part, but it seems impossible to converge. I even tried to render a t...

Re: Liquids Test Thread

Because he probably realised, after having rendered the milk, that he had forgot to push the "smooth" button :P

Same remarks as above, the milk looks like paint and the coke is a bit dark. Is your scene scaled correctly ?
