I was afraid you'd say that.
I really hope that now that the Durian project seems to approach it's final stages that we can see Blender 2.5 stabilizing and approaching a more finalized stage.
Thanks for your efforts!

Re: Blendigo for Blender 2.5 BETA
Same behavior on a Win XP machine. Copied/unzipped indigo_BETA-02.zip and ef_19f82ca.zip into .blender/scripts/io Can select Blender from Engine pull down. Panels show up in Render panel but are empty. Using Blender 2.52 r30403. Am I missing something in the installation process, or does this fall u...

Re: Blendigo for Blender 2.5 BETA
I installed Blender 2.52 r30401 a few days ago on my iMac. Copying the unzipped files into /Users/[USER NAME]/.blender/scripts/io did not result in Indigo showing up in the render Engine selection. So I copied the files into /Applications/Blender/blender.app/Contents/MacOS/2.52/scripts/io Now I can ...

Re: interior scene - sitting
You would have to provide us with what modeling software you are using as UV mapping is not done in Indigo

GPU based Render Node/Slave ?
As it looks right now, almost anyone with a mac is out of luck if they want to work with indigo's GPU acceleration. I really enjoy my current 24" core2duo iMac and was thinking of potentially upgrading to a new 27" i7 iMac some time early next year. The ATI Radeon 4850 in the newer iMacs is not (yet...

Re: Modeling Water
The last two or three pages in the Indigo Technical Manual describe in detail what needs to be considered when modeling a glass of water. My guess would be that it's a precedence problem.

Re: Many new light materials
Another thing that should be mentioned here is that SkIndigo is "only" an exporter. You'll really get an insight into how Indigo works if you open the files that the exporter creates to feed Indigo. While not convenient, once you understand these files (refer to the Indigo Technical Manual), you can...

Re: New blender user
Also, don't underestimate the power of good old paper. There are a few excellent books availabe through the eShop on the Blender website. Start with "Essential Blender". A bit bland in print but definitely worth it for the content! If you are coming from sketchup I can understand that it''ll be a ve...

Re: Indigo Renderer 2.4.3 Released
No it's not. The 2.4.3 releases aim was mostly GUI improvements. I have actually not gotten around to download and test it myself, however, based on what I read in other threads there are CPU speed improvements of up to 120 % ? (IIRC). GPU acceleration is in it's beta phase and currently only suppor...

Re: New materials
In general that's what StompinTom is referring to, however, creating good textures is an artform in itself, specifically if you want to cearte seamlessly tileable textures. If you are not so interested in developing that skill but are rather interested in visualizing your furniture design ideas AND ...

Re: Indigo Renderer GPU acceleration
the missing support of the Radeon 4850 which is in the current 27" i7 iMacs definitely throws my plan out the window for a new iMac later this year. The only other alternative (for me) is a relatively cheap home built Linux box with a current AMD 4-core and a nice 5-series Radeon. It would be placed...

Re: User survey: Testing the water for Blender 2.5
I downloaded Blender 2.5 a few days ago and really like the new interface. In my work I have not encountered any of the features that Blender 2.48 has (have never updated to 2.49a) that have not yet been integrated into Blender 2.5. I would definitely switch to Blender 2.5 if there would be a Blendi...

Re: Phenom 2 X6 1090T
Given the choice between the two buy whatever allows you to build a least expensive system. While the one or the other may have a few percentage points advantage based on a given scenario it usually is not that much. At some point in the not too distant future I believe GLARE is going to bless us wi...

Re: GREEN LIVING
I've already said this when this was a WIP. The illusion is perfect when not only can you imagine living there yourself, but it looks like someone is living there already and has just left momentarily. That has been achieved! @lycium. I agree in general. Often these renders are for stunning architec...
