Re: Indigo Renderer 4.2.18 Beta Release

There is still an issue with rendering large scenes with GPU (open CL) ticked. When these scenes are rendered the screen remains black and nothing happens. The solution is rendering large scenes with indigo version 4.0.64 which seems to work fine for these scenes but the scenes render slower than th...

Re: Certain materials not being rendered

I had a similar issue last week but I downloaded the latest indigo update and this has solved the problem. Also if you untick 'enable Open CL rendering' this also fixes the issue (on previous indigo releases)

Re: skindigo shadow issue

Hi Zom-B thanks for your reply. This was a strange issue but I managed to resolve it by copying the 3D model and pasting it into a fresh sketchup file and the shadows rendered properly. I am still not sure what the problem was with the original sketchup file!

skindigo shadow issue

Hi guys Hoping you can help. When I render with skindigo the shadows are not showing true to what is shown in the sketchup model. Any ideas what is going on here? I've attached two images, the original sketchup image which shows the correct shadows and also the rendered indigo image where the shadow...

A few arch viz renders

Any tips on how to improve them would be much appreciated! FYI For lighting I use...

Re: Using Indigo on a laptop

Interesting it takes so long with such a powerful machine. I use sketchup and the sketchup model files themselves are normally around 50mb in size. Scenes are normally lit with a hdri. Once the render time hits 8 minutes the image is smooth. Leaving it for 16 minutes won't improve the image quality....

Re: Using Indigo on a laptop

Thanks Bosseye, appreciate your feedback. 48-72 hours is a hell of alot! Even with the most complex scenes I've worked on takes a maximum of one hour. All externals take 8 minutes max it's just some of the interiors with 6ish light layers can take an hour to render properly. But thanks for establish...

Using Indigo on a laptop

Hi Guys, Hopefully some of you can give me your insight. I have been using indigo on my home PC for two years and am now looking into buying a laptop so I can use indigo on the move - for example if I go on holiday or head over to another part of the country for a few weeks at a time. My PC spec is:...

Re: August 2012 Competition - Materials & Lighting

Thanks ctzn, I reduced the resolution massively in photoshop for the purpose of getting some feedback. The real file is 5mb and everything is sharper. Glad you like it, cheers!

Re: August 2012 Competition - Materials & Lighting

Cheers Pibuz!
I'll admit I'm a bit of a rookie when it comes to bump maps, I know of them and I know where the tutorial is but haven't gotten around to learning the technique yet :S
All the best

Hi Pibuz, Thanks for your quick reply and comments. The good thing about having the bed near the bar is you can fall into it if the drinking gets heavy.... I'll have a look at these links now - cheers! Could you give me a little more info on your following comment: "Also, I think you should work a l...

Re: August 2012 Competition - Materials & Lighting

Hey guys, Thought I'd upload my WIP for some comments.... looking for some advice on the realism angle! I'm also interested in what camera setting you guys use for your renders? I tend to go with Advantix-100... Pibuz, if you get this message, where do you get your HDR environment map from? I'd also...
