Re: [REQ] Backface-Culling!
sorry, i don't know what camera clipping is in this context. you mean not showing what's not visible to the camera? To be more precise, I'm talking about front plane camera clipping. It is a plane that virtually makes invisible the objects between tha camera and the plane itself. Front Plane Clippi...

Re: [REQ] Backface-Culling!
i try to keep off the forums but it pains me to see this go unanswered. it does not make physical sense for a surface to suddenly stop existing once you look at it from another direction; indigo is a physically-based renderer. ...and what about camera clipping? Can be used in a "physically-based re...

Re: [REQ] Backface-Culling!
I'd like to have both  but, if camera clipping implementation is too difficult to Ono (I don't know how Indigo is implemented internally), I proposed a work around to try to solve the problem (interior rendering of small rooms). Until now no answer... Here in Italy we say: "La speranza e...

Re: Indigo 2.2.6
Hi Ono, thank you for this new release.
I have looked into "Indigo Technical Reference.pdf" to find Info about "absorption_layer_transmittance" with no success.
I think that the Document is not updated (15 July 2009)
P.S. "Smilies are OFF" ?!!?

Steel Alloys Materials
Hi guys, today I'll do some tests onto different types of Steel Alloys. This is the first Material: " Stainless Steel 18/10 ". I've created it using this composition: 18% Cr.nk + 10% Ni.nk + 72% Fesi2epi.nk Here is some Wikipedia Info on this Steel: A typical composition of 18% chromium and 10% nick...

Re: How to create an Alloy? (e.g. 65% Copper+35 % Zinc = Brass)
Your alloys are looking nice Delle ! Thank you  Are exponents arbitrary ? I suppose they can be, as they represent the finish of the mmaterial. Yes they are, In this test I use 200 for all sub-elements of the alloy. In general I think it's better to maintain the same value for all sub-element...

Re: How to create an Alloy? (e.g. 65% Copper+35 % Zinc = Brass)
Silly question, are you after bronze instead of brass?! I'm asking because it looks like it. :P :D ;) take care psor Indeed that was a try to see what I get if I use values near to reality (phisical value).   Now I'm trying to create bronze with real parameters. P.S. You can get m...
