Cool! I always love things like this, loads of little detail.

Are you working from a reference or just making it up as you go along?

Personally if you asked me to do a big ship right off the top of my head it would probably look like a canoe... :lol:

I don't know too much about speeding up the render but look at the save time this way. If you had to pick up a 1000 marbles, by picking up 9 then walking over to the bucket, collecting another 9 marbles, dumping them in the bucket or collecting 100 marbles and dumping those out.

Very nice kare, I like the tip of the camera! Just a tip if you didn't know, to smooth the table more easily just smooth the edge faces and split them from the rest of the table so it stays a nice 90 degrees. How did you make the lens? I've tried many things and gotten interesting results but nothing that seems to be like it is in real life (blender doesn't seem to make it easy for accurate smooth curve profiles).

I get the spectrum problem when I either don't have a proper light sources. Do you have a sun light source? Maybe you have multiple suns. I also notice using the latest exporter I have to use sunsky and background won't work (maybe I need a background or something, exr?).

The net framework wouldn't work on my pc (win2000). I can't remember now except I tried a lot of things and never got it to work...
