Re: Vegetation plugin compatibility
All of these don't deliver native indigo shaders; you have to set up them all by yourself. :( Plus: in some cases Indigo doesn't export the render level resolution correctly; only the viewport resolution. Cheers, zeiti No good for an hassle-free target setup for beginners. Any other vegetation plug...

Vegetation plugin compatibility
For a new project planning the usage of a C4D plugin for vegetation, want to ask if someone does have experience about these plugins and their compatibility with Indigo: Laubwerk, Forester, XFrog.

There are rumors Akitio will push out some new thing this February, so hoping for another TB3 eGPU enclosure.

Re: Intel with Thunderbolt 3 video cards and external USB-C.
Akitio is well known in the eGPU community being unable to power anything above 25w and so requiring extensive DIY modification to be used as eGPU enclosure.contegufo wrote: AKiTiO Thunder2 PCIe Box costs 269$.

Re: Intel with Thunderbolt 3 video cards and external USB-C.
Razer presented for the first time in the world a commercial (not prototype) version of external GPU enclosure with standard TB3 + USB Type-C connector, potentially usable with any laptop (with the BIOS supporting such a thing and with an TB3 port of course). http://www.razerzone.com/gaming-systems/...

Re: Recreate a video intro
Before committing with c4d I did evaluate all the various 3d modelling/animation systems, Blender does have a lot of features but I did find atrocious his UI. Prefer to beg for a c4d nfr license than spend my little time trying to understand Blender chaotic workflow. Apart Turbolence FD I did evalua...

Re: Recreate a video intro
I created this intro in 3 working days using HitFilm Pro, a VFX/3d compositing/color correction/video editing sw similar to AE, with many advantages IMHO. Starting with almost no knowledge of the package and need to say almost no knowledge of the whole concept (VFX/3d etc). So no usage of C4D/Indigo...

Re: Indigo 4 & Metal - OSX 10.11 El Capitain
Not sure Indigo 4 (or any other unbiased software renderer) does have anything to do with this kind of API. Metal, Vulkan and DX12 API all of them are used for hardware rendering, Indigo 4 does use OpenCL to implement proprietary advanced algorithms, so will not at all interact with low level hardwa...

Know chatting about strategy is not something to do in public, anyway I hope someone will share at least his opinion about future trends.
