Re: What is the best (general) camera setting to use?

Thanks Jeff, Great image....thanks for sharing it.... I look at things as a painter.... The structure seems heavy....I would put more shadow on the bottom part to give a feeling of weight. My background is Fine Art painting so I think in terms of anchoring things down so they don't look static or se...

Re: Creative flair rendering style....

My avatar is a painting (Oil). I hope to combine Indigo with Fine Art somehow. Indigo software is doing all the work. Yes, you tweak buttons and talk shop.... and get realistic results.... but that's dull. You have to bring something of yourself to the genre. Something new. Eventually the renders wi...

Good Architecture Blog...

I found a good BLOG that has lots of good pics of modern Architecture & Interiors.
What's good is they have links to the designers sites that show lots of samples of their rendering work.

Using photography....to improve your work.

Since understanding photography seems to be very important in producing good renders, not just in Indigo, but all render software, does anyone know a good Website or Blog that teaches you the BASICS of photography that's really easy to understand for beginners. Something I can PRINT-OUT and put in m...

Re: Creative flair rendering style....

This was created using the program Painter IX, by Zhuzhu.

I really like the immediate and spontaneous style.
I want to do sketches like this initially and then finish with a perfect render in Indigo.

Re: Creative flair rendering style....

Since this is not Indigo related, that thread would fit very well in the off-topic area of the Forum  But to answer your question: There is something like Sketch & Toon for C4D that is quite powerful: Here some examples done with that: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gZSNVUDA5v0 There is also ...

Creative flair rendering style....

I was looking at architectural visualization jobs on the web recently and some companies were specifically asking for portfolios that were MORE SKETCHY & EXPRESSIVE & LESS PHOTOGRAPHIC. It seems that most people are producing fantastic photo realistic stuff. I want to create a portfolio that is more...

Re: What is the best (general) camera setting to use?

I use "agfapan-apx-400CD" most of the time, it is also quite "boring" but has a little more contrast then linear and has perfect whites using Whitepoint E! Your Question would fit very good in the Help subforum, no idea why you put it here btw.... Wow. I love your portfolio. All the images are grea...

Re: What is the best (general) camera setting to use?

Thanks for your advice. I really like the Indigo system of following camera methods. It makes sense.
I like this image by Sarah Dorweilier. I tried writing to her for advice.... but her site is in German. Hence no response. What camera film will mimic this?
