Re: Maxigo 2.0.12a (updated on 17.oct 2009)

You could add a note to the environment setting too. But to be honest I'd change it, cause if I imagine someone setting up a scene with lots of lights then adds an environment map and figures out that something is wrong ... I dunno. I's just confusing a bit. We could also wait for Nik to add layer s...

Re: Maxigo 2.0.12a (updated on 17.oct 2009)

Thanks, that makes sense. I was getting annoyed by it sometimes because I tend to edit the material by hand often and then I've to change it more times then I want to ... haha. Ok, so I'll live with it right now. The scene with the issue is attached to this post. Yes, the layer thing is confusing ca...

Re: Maxigo 2.0.12a (updated on 17.oct 2009)

Suv, first I wanna thank you again for your awesome work on the 3dsmax exporter. It is a very fine piece of scripting you've done so far. I've found a small bug that was bugging me for a while, but I couldn't reproduce it so I haven't reported it yet. I haven't had time anyway. ;) So today I was usi...

[BUG / ISSUE] Environment map is always on layer 0 (3dsmax)

It puzzles me, I can't set the layer for the environment map in the 3dsmax exporter. And if I do remember it isn't even possible right now, ... is it? Gimme, gimme please a layer for the environment map. :D ;) nb: Tested with v2.2.6 and when the layer of a light is set to 1 Indigo will put it back t...

Re: from Ben's mail...

I don't really get it. I think it's fair as it is right now. And there is always a way for people to find a workaround. If it's a cr*ck, ke*gen, or if you use region rendering and stitch it together. In the end it doesn't matter. What matters is that the product is as good as promised then people wi...

Render much longer or turn bidirectional off. I'd say it's the same issue
as reported a few times already. ;)

Re: Reflection perfection

Thanks for posting, that's an interesting option. I dunno if I'd have use for it but sometimes the use
will be shaped when such an option is available. I'm very curious about fryrenders RC5 realtime
engine too and what it will be like. :D ;)

Re: Heterogeneous participating media tests

@Nik Well that's what sweetcement said, then you said ... I don't think I'll allow modification of the IOR anytime soon , because it makes the ray paths non-linear as you said. ... and then I said ... What would happen then? More to read as why wouldn't you wanna allow that. Is there a side effect ...
