Re: Selective region rendering. [REQ]

Fryrender does not have this feature anymore as the core is good enough to handle those situations. Randomcontrol dropped portals too as they are not needed anymore as well. So I think it's better to optimize Indigo's core and thus the sampling strategy instead to introduce a feature like aero noise...

Re: Header nitpicking..

I'm sorry to bug you guys but why are you updating the news? The link vanished and nobody will read the news if not typing in ../blog . So nobody knows about your new entry about the awesome render from StompinTom yet if they don't get bothered to manually check the news section. This is a wake up c...

Re: First OpenCL benchmarks test on Mac

I'm wondering about how SLi will work. If I use two cards with 2 GB each will OpenCL use 4GB as a whole or will it work as separate units. Another thing I can see a problem with is Windows. There is no OpenCL for Windows and this will be an issue when we talk about Indigo, Maxwell, fryrender and oth...

I don't understand why you guys at glare - hello Ben - do the redesign on
the running site and not on a clone. You'd save your self a lot of trouble.

@pixie

What did you change between the last repro and the one before? I'm wondering because the glass
and the liquid seems to be totally wrong. :?

Re: First OpenCL benchmarks test on Mac

Guys, stop speculating you might be disappointed later. As Nik said in another thread already. It's kinda black magic as you have to take care that the cpu is not idle or vice versa. And so lets see who will implement it in a good balance and working and not just first. Take it easy time will come. ...

It won't be enough as you're distributing a zip file aka .pigm which will not include the
needed information. This might be the biggest issue. So you have to add the text to the pigm
manually and then you should be fine. ;o))

Re: First OpenCL benchmarks test on Mac

As Lord Crc says in that thread on the lux forum, don't expect this kinda speedup on a complex renderer. There you might get 30% or more depends on your GPU and how many you've got I'd say. Non the less, maybe in future we're not just talking about multi-core CPU but multi-core GPU. ;o)) take care p...
