Re: WIP - 4 Rooms
Hi, Zom-B: I've used your nice parquet a long time There is definitely room for perfect renders in indigo. I always thought only maxwell or fryrender could do the job. But to define a photo-realistic scene is a hard job. Here is another test-render @2270 s/p. Super-noisy, but so what I just post it,...

Hi,
what's your turbidity value? It must be in a range of, I think, 2.2 to x. I had the same issue, maybe.

Re: Indigo 2.4 - Don't Make Me Think
Hi,
is that thread about the new Indigo or about a RandomControl tool?
I'd suggest a finer aperture diffraction control (post-processing).

Re: WIP - 4 Rooms
For my taste your images are not very sharp, what is your splat filter/downsize filter? Also check your camera focus.... raise the f-sop to avoid dof blur. Interiors tend to be quite noisy... even with 1000k samples. Definitely not very sharp. Later pictures are high f-stop for testing the aperture...

Re: WIP - 4 Rooms
WIP - changed some material parameters (higher exponents) and geometry (chair). Too heavy AD.

Re: WIP - 4 Rooms
WIP - different perspective, changed desk material, obvious aperture diffraction. Would be nice to have a finer control of the AD.
1127 s/p still very noisy. Maybe due to the light setup.
Greetos,

WIP - 4 Rooms
Hi,
I opened up my 'own' thread for my ground-floor apartment. My goal is too achieve more realism. I'm a big fan of dcm et. al. If anyone has hints how to improve the scene please let me know. FIrst of all I repost my pictures from the simple rendering thread.

Re: Simple Renderings Thread
There are several ways you can speed up rendering of this scene: Use Exit Portals Use gray instead of white materials Add a few more lights Use a different rendering method Upgrade your CPU (Just curious, what kind do you currently have?) Yes, used 4 Exit-Portals on each side, because it's a four-s...

Re: Simple Renderings Thread
Well, I like my test renders look somewhat presentable :) Thanks, good to know. Because I intended to ask if this (1) picture is too noisy for 826 s/p. I'll let it render a couple of hours more. I thought 10k s/p is sufficient and there is not much happening later. Of course a studio render is diff...
