Re: [BUG] Glossy transp mat getting way too dark

Yeah what about it???
I know it is fixed in the commercial versions, but since a lot of great artists still depend on v1.1.18, it would be a really nice gesture to fix the issue

Re: Simple Renderings Thread

@dmn: Wow, thanks, that is a great reference. Definitely gonna use it in my renders, I just never really experimented with that. Just accepted that there are many settings. Gonna have to do a lot of testrenders now... @cpfresh: Thanks! @matsta: haha, I don't remember another book render here ...

Re: Simple Renderings Thread

Nothing too fancy here, just a 7-cm-diameter diamond... 8)
Mat is from WytRaven (please correct me if I'm wrong!!!) and can be found in the matdb.

Having trouble with tonemapping atm, original render is just too blue and pale... any suggestions? Good settings?

HA! In blender you just left-click on the axis and drag! Impossible to make it more easy!

This looks really plastic. Like I could just grab into my screen and touch it! very well done, I especially like the ear for some reason :o

Re: Tinkering with site designs

Yes me too!

And I definitely like godzilla's "latest renders"-idea. We do need some eyecatchers! We had a similar thing at the very old website, but then it got lost...

Re: Simple Renderings Thread

This happened as an accident while creating a nice sheet with lots of wrinkels.
Doesn't make sense as a picture, but looks interesting, so I thought I'd share. it.
